Greenfire Game Lodge

Super freundliche und familiäre Atmosphäre. Das gesamte Personal ist gut gelaunt und immer bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen und den Aufenthalt so angenehm und erlebnisreich, wie möglich, zu gestalten. Schon alleine die Unterkunft ist mitten in der Wildnis und Tierwelt. Von unserer Terasse aus konnten wir bereit zwei der Big 5 beobachten.

wirklich nichts

Stayed here for 3 nights / 4 days beginning October and it was the highlight of our trip and one of our best stays ever! Lodge and rooms were in a beautiful setting with giraffes, elephants and hippos passing in-front. Rooms were comfy and just what was needed with nets to keep insects out and also were equipped with A/C. We booked the single bed option and they were kind enough to put the beds together. Team was always friendly and helpful. Our guide Victor was incredible, who together with Given were the first ones in the reserve to spot lions and a leopard in our last couple drives within touching distance. Victor always showed up with contagious passion and energy. Also appreciated the chance to get out of the vehicle to get a closer look when safe to do so, pros of having such an experienced guide! Available roaming range of the drives seemed quite good, going all the way up to the R40 to the west, though we didn't see the Olifants river. Some other travellers weren't so lucky as us spotting the big 5 in 6 drives. Particularly the leopard seems to be more rare in Balule than say more famous Sabi Sands. Saying that we had an amazing time on the game drives and the drives were quite wild, never felt crowded, we usually only saw 1 other vehicle at any sighting. Food was always tasty and plentiful. Refillable drinking water was available and wifi in the main lodge (not in the rooms). Drinks were paid extra but bar prices were reasonable. Would not hesitate to recommend! Next time we would book 4 nights instead.

Very minor points that didn't really factor for us. - Transfer cost from HDS seemed a bit high (1200R each way) and it seemed to include reserve fees on the way in but then we didn't understand why the return price was not less. - Also the cabin we had we thought could be improved with some more deep cleaning / maintenance but given the value for money and location in the middle of the bush we didn't consider this to be important.

The stay was beautiful and some animals could be spotted from the room itself. The game drives were very good, and the safari guide Victor had excellent knowledge

Vegetarian food was good but options were limited.

O atendimento foi perfeito, todos muito educados e procuram fazer o melhor por sua estadia. Os quartos são lindos, com ar condicionado e aquecimento adequado e com vista para o rio que estava seco devido ao inverno, mas havia um pequeno poço e os animais ainda assim transitaram por lá e vimos elefantes, girafas e impalas. O guia dos safáris, Selby, foi muito bom, tinha olhos de águia para avistar os animais, vimos os big 5 logo nos primeiros safáris. O carro que utilizam possui cobertura o que é um conforto, visto que o sol é forte durante o dia mesmo no inverno. Ficamos 2 noites e fizemos 4 safáris.

Não é um ponto negativo, apenas para informar aos viajantes: o objetivo é se conectar com a natureza, portanto, os quartos não tem tv nem wi fi. Há wi fi na recepção do Logde.

Hospitality second to none. Beautiful clean rooms with view into bush where you can see many animals. Game drives amazing. Food was plentiful and delicious. I can't rate this highly enough. We had a fab time.

Tudo foi incrível!! A Carol e todos os funcionários foram muito receptivos e atenciosos. Adoramos todos os Safaris com o Victor, são sempre 2 safaris por dia. O local e todas as instalações são maravilhosas! Duas noites seguidas fomos surpreendidos com rinoscerontes do lado do nosso quarto! A alimentação é variada e uma delícia. Vale MUITO a pena! Já estamos com saudades dessa experiência e desse local incrível!
