La Macadamia - Monteverde

Great place for families, big villa with all what is needed inside (kitchen, washing machine etc). Guillermo was amazing, answered all our questions, recommended places to visit, very nice and kind.

Close to Santa Elena, but you need to have a car

As expected in costa rica, there was a lot of bugs, insects. Also some windows do not fully lock so keep that in mind

The villa was stayed at was the PERFECT place to stay in monte verde! Everything was nicely cleaned and the kitchen was well stocked with basic dishware we needed. Additionally, the service from GUILLERMO was exceptional! Very easy to communicate with and very friendly. 10/10 visit, would recommend to all of our closest loved ones.

It’s in an extremely beautiful place and it is very clean

The host told us we had to pay in cash, and we looked at Booking.com reviews, and this has happened to other people, and I phoned Booking.com who were brilliant as always (the telephone customer service is exceptional) and they confirmed that we should be using a card if we want. They phoned the host who said the Internet wasn’t working which was ironic because at the time I was on the Internet talking to Booking.com. We were able to pay with a credit card!!!

The house was spacious, well equipped and clean. The staff was very friendly, despite we don’t speak Spanish and they speak just a little bit of English. Location was amazing, we were able to see some animals, including motmots on both mornings we spent there.

Power outages due to strong wind, which can be scary during the night at this location. Probably wasn’t the property’s fault though. Also be prepared to insects and spiders in the house. Not too many and after our first night we got used to them.

Beautiful home in a gated community.

Beautiful, secluded area. Close to town but no noise or crowds. You barely need a car (if weather is good and you don’t mind walking uphill, you can get anywhere). Great facilities with washer/dryer, full kitchen, patio, and lots of yard to play if you have small kids. Friendly staff! Credit card machine wasn’t working on check in and they had us just pay before we left. Power went out for a small period of time but resolved quickly and weather made it very tolerable. Really enjoyed our stay!
