Kalidasa Tree House and Villa,Wayanad

We loved staying in Kalidasa Tree House. Built round a Tamarind Tree, of bamboo and mud with a palm thatched roof. It has a balcony for watching the mist rise in the morning and watching the wonderful variety of birds in the evening. Delicious meals are served on the terrace below the Tree House and there’s a hammock for relaxing. The early morning visit to Nagahole was a unique experience - and we even saw a Tiger ! Sudheesh takes very good care of his visitors and was very helpful in arranging everything efficiently

The Tree House is awesome. The owner provided us with local food of kerala which was delicious. Peaceful and serene environment. We highly recommend Kalidasa Tree House.

Loved to stay at Kalidasa. The place is beautiful, right near Kuruva island. The hosts were amazing and so was the food! They were super attentive and even organised a night safari for us. During the safari we were very lucky and got to see elephants, bison, deer and even a tiger!

Bed was a bit uncomfortable.

It was all splendid. We booked 2 days extra directly after the first night and stayed for 5 nights. Sudheesh and his wife, his father and mother and there children all lovely people. It hurts to say goodby. Sudeesh aranged a fantastic taxi from Mysore to his place for a low price. The taxidriver (Namshi) spoke good English and was a very pleasant man ho invited us to his house and served frute and a drink (not for money). The place is surounded by nature and it's all birds around it. Sudheesh' wife made terrific breakfasts and each diner was different and verry tastefull. It was the best food we had in the 4 weeks that we were here. If there is a problem, Sudheesh will help you.

It hurts to say that the matrasses are quite hard, because we realy love this place and should wish to stay here again when we ever would come back in Kerala.

This has been by far the best place we have stayed in India. The owner and his recommended driver have been super helpful and kind. We absolutely recommend staying in here , specially if you want to see tigers and do safaris in Nagarhole or Bandipur. Best experience ever.

Nice environment. calm and breezy. I am a woman solo traveller. I felt very safe here. The owners Sir and Madam have taken up in high spirits , welcoming and served food with smile and caring. Appreciated! I stayed for 3 nights. I took the service of full body massage as well in the villa. Went for river rafting and Kuruva island very close by in 15 mins walk. Owner had arranged trip vehicles for wild life sanctuary when I had requested in a swift way. Highly recommended!

Far away from crowds, and the hustle and bustle of nearby towns and cities, this property is tucked away in a slice of Wayanad Forest. The host and his family made us feel instantly at home with their warm and welcoming attitude and wonderful home cooked meals (which were a real highlight!). They were super helpful in organising safari drives in the surrounding reserves and parks (Nagarhole, Bandipur, Tholpetty) and trips around the local area. This was a truly amazing 3 days, highlighted by the hospitality and warmth of our hosts, and the surrounding nature of the property (birdwatchers take note!)
