The Villas, Wadduwa

Literally everything. The hotel was lovely but the staff were exceptional. The location is incredible. The rooms was amazingly finished, and super comfy. There was a huge pool which might be hotter than my home bath and a beautiful beach at the end of the property. Whilst all the staff were genuinely phenomenal and consistently went above and beyond we have to give a special shout out to Ishani who spent the best part of 20 minutes helping my girlfriend with the near impossible task of putting on a Saree. The hotel also offered very good value spa treatments, a decent buffet breakfast and a good selection of dinners.

There were only a couple of downsides for us and they didn't really impact our stay, nevertheless sharing for feedback. There was no swimming in the sea, it looked a smidge rough but no more than what we would normally swim or surf in which is a shame but seems to be common at this type of the year. The breakfast had very weird juices. Not a fan or mixed juice and fresh juice Lastly some of the prices on drinks were slightly misleading. A 1600lkr mohito ended up being nearly 800lkr more after service charges and taxes etc. However we had a truly special time. Thank you team

It’s very much low season so we were given a room upgrade which we appreciated. It’s a good choice for a first or last night in Sri Lanka as only just over an hour to the airport. We were self driving and could park our car within the gated hotel area easily. A nice swimming pool and direct access to the beach. A good choice of food for the dinner buffet and half board is a good idea. Waiting staff in the restaurant were especially friendly and professional.

A little tricky to walk back to the restaurant and reception in the dark as lighting not really adequate some PIR solar might be a good idea. Breakfast options a little limited if you need to be gluten free. It would have been nice to have hoppers at the egg station. Poor exchange rate at reception so best to pay in Sri Lankan currency and very expensive taxis to the airport. Not sure if there’s much in walking distance so I wouldn’t recommend for more than a couple of nights unless you just want to relax by the pool.

Lovely resort feel inside with nice pool area and you can walk straight onto the beach. Staff were all very friendly. Great breakfast with Sri Lankan and other options.

You might just need to ask for extra towels or room service

The staff is very friendly, you ask for something they give you extra, bed was comfy room spacious with a balcony that you can see squirrels on the trees.

I had bad experience with mosquitos, tried everything to prevent them from biting, they are very persistent.

It’s a beautiful relaxed environment. The main thing about our stay and the property is the incredible staff. Genuinely lovely people who couldn’t do enough for us . Truly a credit to the hotel.

Een heerlijk rustige omgeving. Mooie, goed onderhouden tuin. Zwembad centraal gelegen met genoeg bedjes en zitjes. Personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De twee dames bij de receptie hadden alles goed onder controle. Tuiniers, bewakers, obers en staf waren allemaal voor een praatje te vinden. Heel leuk.

Een heel rustige oase waar je echt op je gemak was. Ook personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en de twee dames aan de receptie, waren echt super.

Er waren maar twee soorten muziek, panfluit en instrumentaal. Gebeurde dus vaak dat je 2 of 3 keer dezelfde song hoorde.

Beautiful garden, direct access to the beach. Staff is great and very helpful and friendly. Villas are very comfortable with all amenities needed.

Music from parties at neighboring villa can be loud and last until after midnight.

Excellent service from staff. Very helpful and courteous. Accommodating and respond to matters swiftly.

The controls of the gate could have been better.
