Luxurious royal estate in historic Sintra paradise

Lovely villa with enough bedrooms and baths for a large group. The grounds are large and as we were Plein air painters, lots to paint. Location was perfect and area quiet except for roosters crowing in the morning. However, chickens were darling and ended up in our paintings 😊 Housekeeper were sweet and helpful but for our large group I really needed more cleaning help than they could provide. Note that if you don’t want to clean up often you need to bring your own help.

Not enough cleaning help

The house is better than in the pictures, it exceeded our expectations. The rooms and bathrooms are big and comfortable, the showers are great, the pool area is amazing. We had a wonderful time, and Rui was available 24/7 and made us feel at home.

Everything was great

A beautiful place in a secret hideaway in beautiful Sintra. Amazing space and was perfect to have our family around the pool, dining and lounge space. We felt very relaxed here for the four nights we stayed. The big room on the first floor was the perfect room for a bridal suite as I prepared for my wedding day, we couldn’t have picked a better spot.

Whilst we appreciate we arrived a little early, the bins in the upstairs bedroom were not empty and we felt we had to look after the dogs on the property, cleaning up their dog poo which was often around the entrance and our car. We had to ask to get the grass mowed which was very overgrown.

Beautiful, spacious, clean, quiet.

The location is perfect - within easy walking distance to the rail station and town . The pool is gorgeous! We were 10 people including 4 children, who just loved the experience
