The Residence Bentota

The pool and garden were very nice. The garden well kept. The staff were really welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was just ok. We did have a sri Lankan breakfast which was very tasty….far too much!!! The location was very good for restaurants and shopping. We had really great visits to the turtle sanctuary and river safari

We thought that the whole place needed decorating. Our room had a kitchenette with not enough cooking utensils and saucepans. The balcony furniture. The lighting in the room was very poor. Very dark corners. The bathroom sink needs replacing. All in all more attention to detail.

A beautiful garden and pool area, nice and clean rooms, we had a great stay at the residence. Everybody was very friendly to us and our five year old and Iran, Sumi and the team were making us feel right at home by catering to our needs and offering helpful suggestions for fun activities.

The superior villa was in fact two separate and not connected rooms, but after the initial confusion the team was happy to find a solution that was working well for us.

The territory and location are great, just two minutes from the beach, a lot of restaurants around. Very polite, helpful and hospitable staff.

The house (villa) we were in needs a renovation. The bed wasn’t comfortable.

The area is very nice with a great garden and a pool. Free tuktuk provided by the hotel was a nice addition. The driver took us to a nice beach and came back to pick us up. Nice and clean rooms with a nice decor and atmosphere.

The common kitchen needs cleaning as it was not pleasant to cook food there.

Beautiful stay at the Residence once again (cant seem to stay away ) 😎 freindly staff 'clean rooms nice breafast .. Waking up in rhe m.orning to the sound of birds is very relaxing set in beautiful surroundings... The manager is called Mr De Silver and a very nice chap..😊

Everything about this place is superb, the staff, the accomodation (which is varied and original), the amazing gardens and beautuful pool. You don't really need to step out the front door to have a wonderful relaxing break but if you want to there is a gorgeous beach and good restautants within walking distance.... The manager is more than helpful and has great sense of humour ...😊🙏❤️🌴🥂

The location and gardens were great , close to beach and train station, the staff were helpful but perhaps a little busy .

I booked the one bedroom garden apartment and was disappointed There was only Air con in the bedroom . The main area of my apartment was stifling hot . The breakfast area was not a great atmosphere indoors and there was not enough room for everyone, The plugs in the room didn’t work properly and gave out electricity sounds ! There were ants in the kitchen . The shower head was loose in the frame . The whole place needed a make over in my opinion. I’m sure the bungalows were newer and much nicer but I don’t know for sure . However the staff were friendly and helpful.

Good location, beautiful place, nice and friendly staff, tasty breakfast , cool pool.
