The Residence Bentota

Villa was a great place to stay for 2 night, very large , pool was lovely too

Villa needs a little maintenance in places

No Wifi didn't work properly in the room itself.

Loved the swimming pool, location and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They organised for us to go and release baby turtles which was a highlight for us

We had 2 rooms, one of the rooms had aircon but the other didn’t which made it very very hot to sleep in.

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and very nice pool. A tuktuk driver to drive you anytime included which was a great bonus and help. The gardens and area was very nice and safe. 5 min walk to a great beach even for kids. Restaurants very close. Breakfast was served in your apartment which was nice.

The poolvilla is in need of renovation plus did not have AC. Also the big villa needs some renovation overall inside. In the big villa there was a spiralstair to bedrooms which we had missed when booking it, which can be hard with small kids or elderly. For the price you pay it is still ok though and area outside is very nice.

The accommodation rooms need work. We were in one of the 'villas' but a lot was broken (handles, towel rail, lights, bathroom door) and there was no netting on most of the windows, so there were a lot of insects inside and it felt unclean and bit dingy. Mosquito net around the bed thankfully but couldn't leave toothbrushes in the bathroom due to ants. Basic improvements to the accommodation would make big difference

The Residence is located within a 5 min walk to the main beach. As soon as you enter, the property is huge inside with so much greenery, that it soothes the eyes. The staff is very helpful, friendly and make the guests feel comfortable. The pool is clean and well maintained. If you are visiting Bentota with a group of friends, don't think twice before booking this accomodation. Much love from India!

We had to ask 2-3 times to give drinking water in the room, probably because they have only 1-2 staff and turnaround time gets slow. Rest is awesome.
