VILLA SCARLET

Check in was easy, we communicated prior to arrival, and they had someone there waiting for us to give us keys when we got there. They had all kinds of things like massage and breakfasts available if we needed. The location was good. Far enough from the main strip that it was nice and quiet but close enough to the main strip that we could easily walk to the restaurants etc. They Villa was beautiful, all open living in the lounge and kitchen area which was nice and something different for us.

With the open living came the inevitable bugs, which isn’t a reflection on the Villa but something to be aware of. Surprisingly, there were not a lot of mosquitoes, some flies, and some cockroaches. But they are unavoidable when living essentially outdoors. It’s not a reflection on the cleanliness of the Villa. Fly spray was provided so that helped.

The only the missing is big fans on the living room is too hot and mosquitoes at night especially during the rainy season but other then it’s amazing.

The location is quite central, easy to reach to Seminyak Square and main roads. The staff Aris and the cleaner were all helpful. Aris reached me by whatsapp and keep me update about our reaching time so that she could arrange to pass us the key and show us around. The day we left is very early (4am), Aris also reached by that time to check around, thanks to her hospitality and being responsible. They also arrange a house keeper eveyrday if you needed, which is thoughtful. The house is spacious same as the photos described, both rooms which has a king size bed and big washrooms are also a big plus to this stay! The pool water is clean too. And they provide hot water all the time by the water machine. We enjoyed our stay for 2 nights.

The utensils in the Kitchen as frying pans, pots, etc... are needed to be updated since they were too old to use. We expected a better cooking utensils which match to this villa. Hope they will improve this.

It was very hot in the sitting area, unfortunately the ceiling fan was not providing any air as it’s not directly over the siting areas. An extra or two standing fan would be necessary.

A couple issues with the toilet flush, located on a narrow side street which was not ideal for getting places but was quiet

The staff was very nice and kind, the swimming pool was a good size and the location was really good and very close to the main street with bars and restaurants. We had a good time at Villa Scarlet.

Great budget accommodation in good location to shops and restaurants. Staff were very lovely and helpful.

Nothing really, the price reflects the standard and everything was good.
