Casa Mainotti - Villa in Mani

We stayed at the villa for one week. Unfortunately, the host did not mention that the second bedroom is located on the ground floor with a separate entrance from the street. We were traveling with our 11-year-old son, who naturally refused to sleep there. There is also no toilet or shower in that badroom, so if you need to use the bathroom at night, you must go outside, climb the stairs to the main entrance, unlock the door, and only then access the facilities. Needless to say, this is not very convenient—especially since we chose this villa specifically for its two bedrooms. In my opinion, it is a suitable option for no more than two adults. It was also mentioned that there is parking, but in reality, there isn’t. The road alongside the villa is mountainous and very narrow, making it unsafe to park there—another challenge to consider. Additionally, it would be nice to have a bit more kitchenware, particularly salad bowls and frying pans.

On the positive side, the villa’s exterior matches the photos. The beach is beautiful and uncrowded, just a 15-minute drive away, and the surrounding landscapes are stunning and unforgettable.

Super careful hosts, they leave you some amenities, which eased our lives. We arrived late afternoon and it was a holiday, so all supermarkets around were closed. Extremely clean, the terraces are wonderful, the views leave you speachless… The house would be perfect if the second room would be connected to the house.

Very beautiful and comfortable house, recently renovated! Very well-equipped and I really hope I can visit it during summer time as it has a great outdoor area-garden where you can have bbq too. Also, ideal place if you have a dog as it’s safe and there is no chance for leaving the house somehow.

We had a great three-night stay! The house was clean, well-equipped, and had amazing sunset views from the balcony. Having two tavernas within walking distance was a real treat, and communication with the host was seamless. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Very nice house, recently renovated with all the amenities one needs. The balcony and garden offer an amazing view of the sea and sunset (there are even a barbecue and a patio to have dinner outdoor). Communication with the host was easy and quick, and check-in / check-out were very straightforward. The village itself is very small, but there is an authentic and traditional taverna just across the street.

This house is very neat, tidy and well organised - it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The upstairs has good flow from the bedroom to the kitchen, lounge, balcony and outdoor bbq area. There is a lovely little Byzantian church in front of the property - do pop your head in and take a look! There is a taverna across the road - we had a lovely dinner there on the upstairs area while the sun set over the sea. We really enjoyed being on the Mani Peninsula - we just wish we were there for longer!

We did not have any issues with this property - but guests should be aware parking is on the road, and that there are a number of steps to get up to the property.

A fully renovated place, with great kitchen, very nice shower and great balcony with sea view. Very quiet and relaxing location.

This villa has two bed rooms, but I'm not sure it's easy to understand from the description that the 2nd room is actually outside the house, downstairs, and cannot really be used for kids (they need to walk outside and climb external stairs in the middle of the night if they need something..) Besides that - all is good.

Everything was great, many details had been thought of. We traveled with our children and they also really liked it here. Staying here was a very good feeling, especially being in the yard.
