Thornbeck Manor Lake Windermere

Everything about the property is exceptional. Great location 18 minutes walk from the train station and only 15 minutes away from the lake. Located in a quiet area. The host Alison was very kind and helpful and offered her help the moment we booked. The The house was immaculately clean and smells so great, spacious, with comfortable beds. You will feel at home the moment you step in. Alison made sure that we find everything we need in the house and I literally mean everything! Full grocery were provided, welcoming basket full of snacks, another basket with basic needs shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste and toothbrushes, hand soaps. Washing detergents and dish washer soap were there. Sanitisers were all over the house. Full set of different size towels for every member. Different board games, and even reading glasses they literally thought of everything!!! Unfortunately we only stayed for 2 nights but those were unforgettable and I highly recommend this property and will definitely come back again. Thank you Alison for making this short stay exceptional.

The house has parking for 2 cars, also has a charger for EV. When we entered the house the kitchen was well stocked with basic groceries like milk, bread, butter, oil, biscuits, cereals, wide variety of nespresso coffee pods etc. The quality of bed linens and towels were exceptional. Usually in rental apartments the washing machine is with inbuilt dryer which doesn't dry the clothes properly but here the washing machine and dryer are separate and a very good quality one. I would love to stay here again.

We cannot recommend this place to stay enough! Already been telling all our friends and family about it. Perfect location, walking to Bowness in less than 10minutes. Plus plenty of pubs and restaurants on route. The house it’s self was immaculately clean and really modern interiors. As soon as we walked in we was blown away with all the complimentary items. With everything from a treats hamper including chocolates, biscuits, an abundance of toiletries and another with cooking essentials, tea, coffee and cleaning products. Far more than we ever expected! House is really warm and welcoming with great views from the balcony. The host, Alison was amazing at responding before arriving and even allowed us to check in earlier. Would 100% stay again and recommend this property for anyone looking to stay. Thank you Alison and Thornbeck Manor for a wonderful stay and creating a home away from home for us.

From walking in the front door the attention to detail is 100%. The full house was extremely clean, interior decorating was on point. the whole atmosphere of the house was amazing! where it is is such a perfect location to walk into bowness and also Windermere. I would not hesitate to book again and recommend.
