Gaia Residence, Peristerona, Polis Chrysochous

This villa is fantastic. All rooms are on the ground floor, there's an open-plan well-equipped large kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and large fridge/freezer a dining area and large living room with TV, cable and games. Each double bedroom has an adjoining bathroom with shower. although there are 2 baths there are no plugs, I guess to avoid waste and flood. Outside there's a pool with ample lounge space, a pizza oven, large table and barbecue under cover, an uncovered patio with chairs and a further partly-covered patio on the first floor reached by stone steps. There are great views of both Polis (and the sea) and the Troodos mountains. We got clear instructions, with photos, on how to gain access, your sat nav will get you within meters but don't turn down any side road - the gate to the property is right on there main road. The villa is an easy 90-120 minute drive from Paphos airport, a 5-minute drive to the mountains and a 15 minute drive to Polis, there's a large supermarket about 10 mins away on the road to Polis a grocery store around 5 mins away on the road to Paphos. Nikki was a great host, checking beforehand what essential groceries we would like, there was also store cupboard essentials, fruit and veg. so its best not to buy anything until you've checked what is already there. The villa comes with a 'clowder' of friendly cats that provided us with extra pleasure.

nothing - all marvellous

The house is very spacious, located in a very beautiful area. There is everything you might want in the house, including a lot of food and drinks, some table games (mostly for children), TV, fireplace, bathtubs, garden furniture. It was completely comfortable during our stay in January, as the house has AC and water heating. There is a beautiful pool outside and I imagine it’s very nice on warmer months. Also, some friendly cats live nearby (I think very common to Cyprus).

If I wanted to be picky - there is 2 plugs for bathtubs and they are not exactly matching those bathtubs.

Everyrhing was excellent!

Nikki the host was so helpful, we never met in person as there was no need, check in was very easy, she was always at the end of the phone to answer any queries. She even had stocked some essentials for us untill we went shopping. The house is amazing, so clean and comfortable, homely without feeling you are in someone elses space. The property has a lovely gated surrounding with lots of greenery, a kitchen veranda AND an upstairs terrace. The location is slightly remote which was perfect for what we wanted, so quiet, views of the hills and sea, cracking spot to watch the sunset and just a short drive from shops and restaurants. We spent most of our time at the the villa, cooked breakfast in the mornings, spent the day at the pool in the sun and then out for dinner in the evenings. We were there mid October and the weather was beautiful. 100 percent would come back again and have already recommended it to friends and family!

The properly has everything you need for a relaxing stay in the beautiful mountains. It’s clean, relaxing and spacious.

Gaia is indeed a tribute to Mother Nature. It’s glorious, remote, peaceful, serene and the perfect house to feel like you’re home.

This was our second stay at the villa and we loved it again. The villa is spacious and comfortable and really well equipped. The pool area is fantastic and there are 3 outdoor sitting areas, one which is covered, one in a courtyard and the third is on the rooftop. The host is fantastic and really helpful.

I did see a snake by the pool, apparently harmless, but I have a phobia. This is just a risk of being in a more rural location, no fault of the villa or owner. That's just once in 4 weeks we've stayed there too.

Everything. This place is a paradise. I am so happy that we choose Gaia Residence for our whole stay in Cyprus since it was perfect starting point to explore the whole island and even better place to rest after each day of travelling. Also this place gave us the highest level of privacy. The owner, Niki, is an example of perfect host that I wish I met always during travelling. If you are looking for place to stay during your holiday in Cyprus and Gaia is available then stop looking and take it - I bet you will not find anything better.

From the moment we arrived the villa met all our expectations and more, stunning views from all areas, lovely garden and pool area with a rooftop overseeing everything. The villa was clean and fully equipped with whatever you could think of, the host certainly couldn’t be more accommodating, definitely a must to return
