We enjoyed the tour provided by the groundskeeper, he even spotted a sloth up in the trees for us!

Everything was great! I was told by other family members they were woken up by the rooster in the morning, but I did not hear anything while I was sleeping. I was the first up and enjoyed a beautiful morning :)

House is in the middle of a jungle. the property comes with a farm, wild life and vegetation and an on premise person who can tell you about it (for a nice tip). the house is simple and beautiful and has everything you need.

No AC, but you probably dont need it most of the year. Even when its hot, in the night it will be cold.

Beautiful location. Comfortable house. The kitchen was maybe the best equipped of any property I have ever stayed at. But the real highlight was Herman, the caretaker, who gave us a tour of the property (we saw a mama sloth and her baby!) and even shared fresh eggs.

The woods in the house, the things we needed to cook and eat, the view and the grounds were phenomenal. Herman lives nearby and is the caretaker. He has greenhouses, trails in the forest and beautifully groomed grounds. He took us on a tour and tested our knowledge of herbs and plants. He showed us a sloth next to the path, the home of the armadillo (which late at night I got to see) and the home of an olingo and the hours during which they are most active. Honestly I would have paid for that tour ( and we all did tip him). We will return here next time.

Shower-head in bath shared between room squirts sideways and there is no curtain. At 4 AM on the first night the turkeys and chickens started making so much noise it was hard to sleep. The second night when they awakened us, we put in earplugs and drifted off to sleep.

No breakfast. The property manager gave a wonderful tour of the area, and we even surprised 2 owls in trees on our walk.

Lighting in the living areas could have been better for cooking etc.

This property was beautiful, well cared for, and very clean when we arrived. The beds were comfy and everything was as you see in pictures. The view from the back porch is breathtaking taking and the nightly rains were so calming. The highlight was a tour around the grounds with Herman. He was a friendly lovely man who gave a great tour and pointed out all the animals, their burrows, and nests. He doesn’t speak English (why would he?) so the tour was in Spanish. He was kind about our basic mastery of Spanish, made sure to speak simply for us, and would explain any word that we were stuck on. We had the opportunity to taste and smell the medicinal plants growing on the property, and My 11 year old son got a kick out of the turkeys, ducks, and chickens. Herman was also helpful when we were having trouble with the security system. He really did make our stay so nice. We felt right at home!

Like anywhere, the kitchen has a little bit of an ant issue so be sure to grab some aluminum foil when you’re in town so you can cover some of the amazing fruit you’ll eat and keep it in the fridge when you’re not snacking on it. The showers don’t have any barriers to keep water in while you’re using them so the floors get very wet. Bath mats are provided though so we just dried the floors and threw them in the dryer. Really not much to dislike about this property.

The grounds were AMAZING, Herman, the caretaker, gave us the most incredible tour of the farm/garden/wildlife. He was so knowledgeable and kind! The place was very spacious and is in a perfect location. We absolutely loved this place!!! Thank you!!

key collection was no trouble - went to the main business' reception in town where we parked up and went to get the keys from the chap on reception who was friendly and gave us some local info which was helpful. The house is great. Big open space, great view. Wildlife on your doorstep with monkeys and birds in the trees and even agouti running around lol fun times. Herman even gave us eggs but we didn't get a chance to eat them and nor did we get a chance to go on the tour of his farm :( Overall, a lovely place at a decent price.

The location is a little out of downtown - thought it would be closer. Defo need a car for ease. Also finding the house was a little tricky despite some instructions which gave the impression it was a lot closer than it actually was. You're going to be on a farm which is cool but not when the chickens start to crow at 3am each night/morning like clockwork lol. If you're a heavy sleeper you should be fine but otherwise you may need earplugs. Be prepared! Shower in the ensuite is a bit dodgy with the cold and hot water taps needing a trial and error approach.
