This property is just amazing! The view is exceptional, the house is well equipped with everything you need. German welcomed us with fresh eggs and took the time to show us the property! Pura vida!

Fantastic location to enjoy the Monteverde area. Away from crowded Santa Elena but only a few minutes drive away. The house is very special. The bright big living room is the highlight. The terrace is unique to enjoy a beautiful view. You feel totally immersed in nature. Herman the caretaker is super sweet and shared his passion for animals, plants and nature. The staff managing the house was super kind and helpful. The internet broke down after a storm and fixed the next day.

The view is awesome. The best thing is just to sit on the veranda and relax. There is a hammock and a table for 6. So you can even eat outside. Herman showed us the property which was nice. We even got some eggs. The living room is big. It has a bar and candles :-). The kitchen is quite well equipped (only a kettle would be a great addition). And we liked that they care about recycling. Netflix and WiFi worked fine.

The house is quite old (kitchen/bathroom). One toilet was a bit loose and waggled when you sat on it. The washing maschine smells not so fresh. There are no curtains to prevent the bathroom from "flooding" when taking a shower. There is only very little light in the living room. So it's quite romantic at night. What we didn't know in advance: You have to get the key from the reception in Santa Elena (Hotel Arco) which is a 20 min detour (if you come from route 145). The fridge was dirty. But everything else was clean. Despite the things we mention here, we would definetely stay there again. We even thought about staying one night longer.

Awesome place! Easily the best of the 5 locations we stayed in CR. The house is well-maintained, clean and comfortable. Rooms/beds as advertised. The view and large property with trails make it exceptional. We saw sloths, amazing birds, coati, lizards, etc. all from the property. Getting keys from hotel was easy enough and they provided map with helpful info about the area. Panederia and one restaurant within walking. Car required for much more. Kitchen is well-supplied with dishes, pans, french press, etc. Absolutely would return and stay longer!

Great kitchen, living/dining area with beautiful views. Lovely tour by caretaker German. Washing machine and dryer. Well supplied.

Bathroom 1 could use updating but it was ok. Beds a little hard but still ok.

Loved the large windows and the balcony! Very comfortable and lovely place! I would definitely recommend staying here!! Great place!

gorgeous location, house, and grounds. Herman the caretaker is super friendly and gave a wonderful nature tour of the grounds. Bernal helped us make reservations for tours and was also very friendly.
