Casa Cañitas

Very spacious house, clean, well furnished with great views and great landscape. Close to town, yet far away so you can have peace. You need a car, for sure.

Part of a great house and stay is the shower facilities. This is the négatif point. I do not mind waiting for a long time for the hot water but the shower faucets should be easy to use. It is time to renovate and invest a bit.

Fantastic place to stay. The views are amazing and I have never seen such a well equipped kitchen in a rental house. Herman the caretaker gave us a very interesting tour of the grounds, including animal spotting and learning about the Medicinal Plants. The cakes at panaderia jimenez, just across from the entrance are worth a try too.

The only minus is that the road isn't great to walk along to get to restaurants or town. However the outstanding location and peace more than makes up for having to use the car to go anywhere.

Really need a car to get anywhere. Herman did a tour of the grounds and we saw a sloth, armadillos, aguti and much more. The view was exceptional, and the house had plenty of space.

Not enough cutlery for seven people. Woken early with dogs barking and cockerels crowing so take earplugs for sleeping.

Beautiful well equipped house on a well maintained park-like property. In the wild and near the city. Herman is lovely, patiently introducing us to the estate, the wildlife, the farm, herbs. in Spanish.

Somewhat outdated tv, dvd, cd etc. Better take it out or replace with stuff from this century.
