We really enjoyed meeting the host - he was extremely helpful in showing us around the home, and giving us local restaurant recommendations. He even provided some groceries for us on arrival, and fresh bread every day, which was much appreciated. The views from the property are lovely, and the beds are comfortable. There are lots of things to do in and around Furnas. We would highly recommend!

Superb stay. Surrounded by lush greenery, birdsong and magical views. Loved the decor and furnishings too - including original wooden kitchen and tiles - great style and I hope the owner ignores any suggestions to 'update' - this is very much part of the sustainable charm of the place.

Joao was a fantastic host and maintains the property in great condition. Would stay again in a heartbeat

If you are not willing to take the time to heat the house via fire, then this place is not for you

Excellent view, great location near the thermal bath and a small grocery store. The owner was super lovely and very helpful.

Overpriced for the quality of the property - it felt more like indoor camping. Lots of ants in the kitchen, dirty dishes/cutlery. The property would not be suitable for colder temperatures given the wood-burning stove never quite heats up the whole home.

I liked the house and the stunning view . Accommodations were very satisfactory.

Some of us got mosquito bites over night but that could have been our fault for not being more careful about closing the door behind us. There was no AC, so we left the windows open & we walked in and out so it was inevitable to have mosquito’s accompany us in and out of deck 🤦🏼‍♀️

Stunning location - you look over the valley/town of Furnas and see the hills all around. Very peaceful even though it's very close - short walk - to the town. Great Spar shop that sells everything in Furnas and quite a few other supermarkets if you walk around to find them. We didn't visit the mud spa as it was fully booked and we wanted to go for hikes - there are so many to choose from in the area. The house has a lovely lounge that overlooks the terrace with the stunning valley view/ All the bedrooms open out onto the terrace too. There's a washing machine and place to set up a washing line/airer and you can eat inside or outside. Plenty of space to park a car right next to the house. Make sure you visit Gloria Moniz tea room with the garden (not the shop one) and have a coffee and yummy cake in the garden. Elisabete our host, met us with the keys and gave us lots of useful information.

The kitchen could do with updating. It has everything you need, but is showing signs of wear and there were quite a few ants invading almost everywhere in the kitchen.

Very nice place in Furnas, Lovely home with perfect accommodation. It is a must do if you are in the Area ! Very confortable, quiet and nice. Furthermore, Elisabete is a great host and is Very available !

Good location and plenty of space. All that you needed was supplied by the host. Elisabete meet us at the home and gave us some great ideas nearby - especially the recommended restaurants and hot springs located just down the road!

A better cleaning in the bathrooms (sink area) would have made our stay more enjoyable.

The woodburning stove was not working so it was rather cold, even with the electric heaters. It was very damp. There were no dishwashing tablets or coffee capsules provided.
