We loved staying in a more authentic japanese home. Great court yard garden. Keyless entery so no need to carry keys, Extremely close to a great market, 15 minute walk to Kanazawa station, around 15 to 20 minute walk to the castle. Loads of heating options.

Michio was great to do airport pick up and take us to pick up bags at Yamato. He also explained everything about the house and showed us the neighbourhood on a map. The house had great facilities, loved the bath and the yukatas were nice to wear. My favourite part was the garden which was so peaceful and lovely lit up at night. Great amentities in kitchen for cooking and everything was spotlessly clean. The house was very warm and comfortable overall. Super central in Kanazawa, we were able to walk to Kanazawa Castle Park and Higashi Chaya District and the train station quiet easily and it was very close to Omicho market.

It was a stormy night for our final night and there was a lot of noise from the window shutters moving but I think it's likely we didn't close them properly.

Everything! It was the quintessential Japanese house with mod cons. Extremely spacious, wonderful decor, good kitchen, washing machine, close to everything. We just loved it!

The difference of temperatures between different parts of the house

It was a very tranquil and peaceful house. Lots of space. Good location. Really lovely home. Clean. Tidy. Beds were comfortable. Loved the kotatsu it was so cosy in the winter time. Kitchen is equipped with utensils, kitchenware and beautiful plates and cups. The owner came to meet us early so we could leave our bags there before check in time. She was really lovely. The bathroom with the tub was very nice and relaxing with modern controls. The garden was very beautiful. We think it is shared with next door but didn't see anyone. It is also close to Omicho market and convenient stores. It really was great value for the overall experience. If you come to Kanazawa you should definitely give this place a try at least for one night.

Was not a fan of the doll in the room as westerners it was a little bit creepy for us but overall didn't ruin the experience for us. It was amazing to experience a traditional house. The weather was quite windy at night so the doors were rattling alot and made us think someone was trying to get in. But understandable as this has traditional timber sliding doors throughout. Still loved our stay here.

Location is perfect for us as it's so close to the Omicho market and other things, yet in a quiet residential area. The host was very friendly and helpful and showed us around the house upon arrival. We love the aethetics in the house, especially the garden. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Kanazawa.
