Astral Zone Cottage Scenic Mountain view Stay Ella

Astral Zone Cottage was a 10-minute drive from the main Ella town. While it may appear rather remote/inaccessible by car, we felt that it was very worth it. The room was cosy and came with sweeping views of the landscape (and importantly, a hot water shower). Our host Maduranga was very gracious and friendly, greeting us with a warm smile and a pot of Ceylon tea as he showed us around the property. Maduranga arranged a tuk-tuk to bring us around Ella in the late afternoon, showing us the Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam's Peak, and a short stop in Ella town as we needed to use an ATM. The dinner and breakfast spreads prepared by Maduranga and his wife were very sumptuous and hearty. We highly recommend staying here for a tranquil retreat!

It was utterly charming. The cottage was quiet except for the sounds of many birds. The hosts could not of been nicer and so helpful. The food was unbelievable, and beyond amble portions. Gourmet Sri Lankan Food I will never forget. Sitting out on the beautiful veranda overlooking the garden and distant hills was magical. The owners also connected me with the best tour/ tuk tuk driver ever. He not only took me to where I wanted to go he stayed with me ready to help me. Plus he suggested places off the tourist norm and really made my stay special.

The Ambiance, the hospitality and the food. The hosts are an Amazing couple, good at heart and professional in nature, with beautiful cottage, prompt service and delicious food.

Location is not perfect, as you depend on tuk tuk. Hosts and nature where is property located makes up for everything. Perfect for nature lovers.

Not much on property side

The view from the balcony/porch is amazing and the owners are a lovely couple who go out of their way to help and make sure you are happy and comfortable. Home cooked breakfast and dinner were delightful!!

The property is on a hill and 10’ drive along a very narrow and winding road to Ella town. The property itself is very basic.

Great place to stay with lovely hosts, the breakfast and dinner are the best and you can ask them anything anytime. Location is perfect, green everywhere, birds sounds, view on the milky way at night and you can see the train drive by during the day. Wish we stayed longer!
