It was private and set in beautiful surroundings.Wonderful plants and flowers all around it.

The host couldn't have been more helpful. The setting was stunning and tranquil. It was even better than if hoped for. We were able to walk from the cottage to Ella rock, Little Adams peak, Nine Arch bridge etc. when we did use Tuk Tuk, we got Kalu. He was friendly, helpful and honest...also cheaper than flagging tuk tuk down.

We should have booked for longer.

The photos of this property don’t convey the relaxing atmosphere and ambience of the place. Such an unexpected delight. The breakfast was huge. We were so well taken care of and would come back in a heart beat.

The host has only one room in the middle of his garden therefore we enjoyed a lot of privacy . The view is amazing and we saw a lot of birds The food is delicious and the room is extra clean

Everything was perfect

Very friendly hosts who did everything to make our stay comfortable. The cottage has a beautiful view over the area. Very green, quiet and relaxing place. Everything is clean and the hosts are always available via WhatsApp in case you need anything (they also live very close by). There is a fridge and a well-working AC. The breakfast is incredibly good and so much than you can take away some of it as lunch snacks. It is served on the small terrace with the nice view. Highly recommended and one of the nicest places we stayed at in Sri Lanka. With the fantastic breakfast definitely perfect value for money.

Bear in mind that the cottage is not in Ella town directly but a bit up the hill (10 minutes by tuktuk or 40 minutes beautiful and easy hike by the rail tracks). Also, the bathroom is quite moist and water pressure is low. But that is not a minus point given the climate and location. Keeping the bathroom window open will do the trick regarding the moisture.

This was the most amazing little cottage in Ella. It is located 20 min walk or 10 min tuktuk out of town with the most amazing and peaceful view. The owner is an amazing host and can organise tuktuks at reasonable rates, provide hiking directions and all kinds of support on organising activities while you are in Ella. The cottage is also super close to Ella rock if you like hiking. Breakfast was delicious and we also had dinner one night and the food was 10/10!

Very nice room next to the train station with a nice view. Very quiet and the householder is very friendly and helps you for every question or problem you may have.

The property is managed by a wonderful couple who are very caring and hospitable. We arrived in the afternoon and were hungry and asked for food and the lady of the house made wonderful pancakes for us. The coffee served every morning was delicious. The place itself is basic but very comfortable. We also did a cooking class with them on the second day which was a lot of fun. Breakfast is served every morning amid lush mountains - it's quite scenic. The location is beautiful and the sunrise and sunsets are gorgeous. The place is a bit far from the city but Mr Maduranga knows a tuk tuk driver who can take you to and from.

The water pressure is a bit low in the bathrooms.
