The room should be equipped at least with a water kettle and tea/coffee etc . The menu should have a bit more choice.

The food was excellent!! To die for! The hosts were very courteous and took great care of us. The property itself is old worldly and lovely to be surrounded by woods

We expected saffronstays to have clearer instructions regarding the access to the property from the matheran parking beyond which point no motorised vehicles are allowed. They should atleast provide guidance regarding ways to reach the property. To reach via e riksha or via horseback should be better explained and tentative charges to be paid must be mentioned. We ended up paying much more than reasonable because of no guidance at all. This despite having asked prior.

Quaint heritage old Bungalow Rustic feel Very clean Comfortable Super staff...very helpful amd polite caretaker (Santosh) who gave excellent advice about Matheran including how to come from the Car Parking area and tips on how to avoid scams by horse riders etc. Good home cooked meals..had an authentic wholesome feel to them. Really good service. Property is green and quiet. Very peaceful

It's not air-conditioned (but that is known before you book)..so it could be a bit warm in the summer months. It's a 25-30 minute walk from the main market area..(again that could be viewed positively as well)

Horrible property. 1. There were no security guards. This property is in forest area, dogs at mid-night were barking for nearly 2-3 hours. It almost felt, they were about to come inside. We locked in everything 2. Just 1-2 staff. We are paying so much and the person refused to cook lunch saying he had no time. 3. During dinner also, he kept saying food is limited though we paid for buffet Horrible experience. No amenities at property . Just high price by Saffron stays with 0 experience.

The hosts are absolutely amazing! The food was amazing and our room was very comfortable. The location is perfect as you are at the end of the village so away from the noise but you are close enough to walk to restaurants and walking trails. We had an amazing stay.

Saffron Stays are impossible to communicate with either with their phone number, email or via Booking.com. However, the day before we arrive, someone communicated with me on WhatsApp and was very helpful. After staying at that property, we stayed at the different Saffron Stays property where we had huge issues so because of all the problems I had with the "Head Office" I would never stay in a Saffron Stays again :(
