Victoria 1942

The location is great. The apartment has a small kitchen and a cozy garden! The windows have mosquito nets. Overall everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Perhaps the bed is a bit small for 2 people (140 cm width, I believe), but other than that, I have nothing negative to say.

Everything was great

Very good communication with the host. Perfect localization between Funchal and Porto Camara do Lobos. Nice restaurant next to the apartment A Francesinha. Small garden to your exclusive use. Kitchen fully equipped.

It could be warmer but it was March, so you can expect lower temperatures. The host gave us heating device and it helped a lot.

I like that Joanna was receptive and she was trying to solve the issues. The position is pretty good.

1. The first impression was bad because it was quite dirty, it smelled quite strongly of dampness (in some parts there is mold on the walls and you can breathe it in). I spoke to Joanna and she cleaned the next day, but I expected to be greeted by a cleaning lady. 2. the garden is unkempt, although it has potential 3. It was cold, the humidity was high and there was no heat source. The next day I received a small electric heater. 4. one evening we didn't have hot water, it was fixed the next day when I mentioned this to Joanna The accommodation has potential, but I would like that for the fact that I pay for it, to be at least a clean space.

The host was very friendly. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and very private. It's away from the center of Funchal but you have a bus stop very near to the location, so this is not a problem. We recommend Victoria 1942!

We can recommend only one thing - it would be nice to have soap and douche gel in the bathroom, because we couldn't find any and we had to buy for ourselves for our stay there.

Excellent location just by the coast, lovely cozy apartment with absolutely stunning garden. Easy access to Funchal City. Joanna and Oscar are great hosts! We already miss that place.

Well I liked the communication with Joana from the beginning. She allowed us to accomodate earlier, made a reservation for rent a car. She was so kind to us that she even put our clothes to washing mashine. (After by appointment).
