Ancient Gardens Guesthouse & Botanical Gardens

Peter and his wife have done a magnificent job of creating a beautiful tranquil landscape, perfect for the peace and quiet getaway Me and mum had a few days and this was a perfect time to escape the noise of Brisbane Do the garden tour! It’s magnificent

Peter was absolutely fantastic. The stay was beautiful and he was super friendly and very helpful. The Guesthouse was absolutely perfect for my small family and pet and we all had a beautiful rest. The small personalised touches from Peter was amazing and he made sure our fire was stocked each night and made sure we had everything we needed and offered to take us around his beautiful gardens. 10/10 stay and we will be back!!

Peter was exceptional, he showed my Mum 86 who loves gardens all around his gardens. Mum was in her element, I also enjoyed the tour. His passion was infectious and he was a lovely kind host. He shared lemons from the lemon tree which were the most juicy flavoursome lemons I've ever tasted. We sat around the fire which Peter got started for us and enjoyed the quiet before heading to bed. The beds were super comfy and the shower in the morning was hot with great water pressure. I especially loved being up early to listen to the bird calls while the house slept.

If you like plants you will love this accommodation. It was so peaceful and it was great to see such rare and unusual plants. Peter spent a long time showing us through his garden. We learnt so much and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Can't wait to go back!

We had 3 daughters with us they didnt feel comfortable with no curtains on the wi dows in the toilets, showers or lounge area,The 3rd bedroom was not acceptable due to it not being a part of the main area. The pool is not private use it is a shared pool and is in bad need of an update.

Beautiful gardens, accomodation was perfect for the night. Best shower pressure. Large open space living.

peter was over and above what we expected from a host, The gardens totally amazed us we took my mother for a short 2 night stay while visiting the sunshine coast, roaming around the amazing and well presented gardens was the highlight of the stay, we even received a tour from peter himself explaining all the plants and showing the different features of this great spot, The nights were cosy and the house had everything we needed 2 bedrooms each with an ensuite , The serenity was peaceful and welcoming, I highly recommend a stay here and will do again.

The gardens were absolutely amazing. The location is also very quiet at night time with no road noise around. It is a simple property, but it has everything that we needed. The host even gave us a tour of all of the plants around the property

The listing is a little vague in some details. The bunk beds are not actually within the main rooms, and you need to go outside to access them. I am not sure if you would want young kids to stay in them. But the property would be lovely for 1-2 couples in the main bedrooms. The toilets also are within each bedroom, so anyone staying outside will need to enter a bedroom to access them.

Very beautiful and peaceful location. The host Peter was a very welcoming, friendly and kind host who made our brief stay amazing and got to experience a truly one of a kind garden. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks Peter for sharing your slice of paradise we'll be back again.

Peter, the host, was very welcoming. Soon after arriving, we were greeted by him with his warm smile. He showed us the accommodation and amenities, and we briefly walked around the garden. He told us stories about his garden, and we could see he was passionate about it. It was a lovely setting. Very peaceful and tranquil. The accommodation was like home from home, with all the needed supplies. We are all in agreement that the showers were amazing!!! Unfortunately, we didn't get the full tour of the gardens as on the last day it was raining and it had rained the night before. However, what we saw and when we had a walkabout, it was awe-inspiring, and to say it started just as a plot of land, you can see how much effort, time, and dedication Peter has put into it.

I was not keen on the outside bedroom where the bunk beds were located and my kids did not want to sleep there.. However, Peter was very accommodating and said they could sleep on the lounge chairs or even use the mattresses in the room and put them on the floor, which we did.
