Ancient Gardens Guesthouse & Botanical Gardens

Peter was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the gardens and especially the cycads. Check in was easy and the hosts were very welcoming. The garden was a piece of paradise, and something that is extremely memorable, especially being able to learn and see the rare plants that Peter had painstakingly collected and grown. Highly recommended!

Listening to nature and hearing zero cars! A peaceful stay, and the owner Peter happy to take us on a tour around his ancient gardens.

Leaving. Simply tasting the serenity tranquility, wetted the appetite. So leaving.

Highlight is staying amidst the amazing gardens on the property. For us it was a very convenient stopping point to access and visit our friends in the Sunshine Coast area. Very quiet location and hosts were separate and private to accommodation. Villa is basic but has all amenities you need. Great to be able to bring our dog.

For the length of stay I can't suggest an improvement. possible slightly high in terms of price but for this time of year and area still appropriate.

The ancient gardens were just fantastic and the pool was lovely, but our host, Peter absolutely made the weekend!

The accommodation needs a little maintenance, however still very warm and welcoming.

Peter was very accommodating and gave freely off his time to help us. He is a kind man and patiently explained about the various exotic plants in his garden. He generously allowed us to check in early and then gave us ideas to facilitate our holiday. I will be back!

Everything! The rainforest setting as you descend into the valley, the warm and friendly feel of being greeted upon arrival, the house with its generous sized living space, 2 ensuites and fully equipped kitchen provided us with the perfect 'home-base' as we explored the sunny coast region. The gardens that sprawl over the property with its many paths winding through the forest, the pond complete with frogs on lily pads, the sounds of giant bamboo knocking together in the breeze. The tours of the garden, one at night and one during the day were very informative and an experience we will never forget.

The only disappointment was that we didn't discover this place earlier! Other accommodation nearby simply didn't have the same charm.

The host, Peter, was great. His gardens, stories and frog tour were incredible. Highly recommend for something truely unique from your run of the mill guesthouse

Nothing every thing was great

The accommodation had everything we needed for our stay. The gardens are mind-blowing awesome and a lifetime experience! Peter is a wonderful host and went out his way to make as feel relaxed and calm, taking in the tranquil surroundings.
