It was a great place, great host. Everything was great. Definately recommend it!! 10/10. If I’m coming back to Kyoto ever again, I’m staying here. Quiet area, authentic Japanese house, warm and friendly host

The staff were very accommodating and provided us with everything we could need! We really appreciate them providing us with their favorite recommendations via google maps and an in depth guide to the house offerings. Everything was clean, the beds were so cozy, and they even stocked the fridge for us! The villa is beautiful and we all agreed we wished we could stay longer

Nachiya is a beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for anyone that wants to be a little ways away from how crowded downtown Kyoto can get. Convenience stores a short walk away, but you should absolutely take your host's restaurant recommendations instead. The host was very helpful during our stay, not only with the map of recommendations, but he also set up shipping our luggage to the next location for us. The amenities were great and the tatami floor was great to sleep on!

It is an extremely beautiful and traditional house.

It was very authentically Japanese. Exactly what we were looking for when staying in Kyoto. Mamoru was very welcoming and responded quickly to messages. He was also eager to help us have the best stay possible.

We really enjoyed our stay in this traditional house in Kyoto, and the communication with the host was excellent throughout our visit. The accommodation is located close to two bus stops, which makes getting around Kyoto very easy and convenient. For a family, it was the perfect place: spacious, very well organized, and beautifully designed with a great balance between traditional Japanese elements and modern comfort. The bathroom was excellent, and the skincare products provided were of very good quality , a detail that truly makes a difference. We highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!

The only minor downside is that it’s a bit farther from the main tourist areas, but we wouldn’t consider this a reason not to stay here again.

Wonderful traditional place. A bit out of the way but still easily reachable by public transport, this very beautiful house equipped with all amenities one could want and the marvellous host Mamoru-san makes this a top choice. One of the best places we have stayed in some time.

Everything was perfect!

Absolutely loved our stay here. The apartment was beautiful, large and very comfortable. A very relaxing alternative to a hotel and perfect for small family or two couples. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful with instructions and local knowledge. We used taxi mostly to get around which was very convenient when using the GO app. (Tip. Don't queue in the foreigner friendly taxi line if arriving via Kyoto train station as very slow!) There are about 6 steep steps to access the property if there are mobility concerns.

Couldn't find the plug for the kitchen sink but the property had everything else!
