Streamside Country Manor- Matamata

Excellent host, great location for Hobbiton. The house and grounds are beautiful though we unfortunately didnt have a lot of time to explore! We stayed in 1 bedroom (did not rent out the whole house) but there were no other guests that evening. Breakfast was really lovely and provided the night before so we could eat at our leisure. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Tranquil location that was also close to Hobbiton and Matamata. Wonderfully quirky house was perfect for our large group.

Great location for Hobbitton, beautiful unique house and grounds. We came back late and Caren had lit the fire and drawn all the curtains so it was warm and cosy. Had a comfortable warm sleep, and breakfast outside in the sun. Couldn’t have asked for more, we were lucky to have the house to ourselves but it would be a fun setup even if sharing with fellow travellers.

It was remote, quiet and serene. The perfect place to unwind and forget about stress for a little while. If you're looking for a place to escape city life, this definitely is one to check out!

We enjoyed the comfortable, cozy atmosphere. The host, Caren, was very personable and welcoming. Would definitely stay again, next time for longer.

Lovely sunrise. Had a pond at the back. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was big and warm. Becomes quite cold at night so we had to keep the fire going.

Far from a town. Had to drive quite a distance to get food

A wonderful, charming country location, but close to local attractions. The host was great and the countryside was stunning! Highly recommend.
