Streamside Country Manor- Matamata

We were in the area to bike ride on quiet roads. The construction of the building was really interesting and it felt like we were in a cosy hobbit house. The view to the back was really peaceful - green grassy fields and big green trees. We really felt the family history in this home. We'd definitely come again.

Beautiful location

The property was well presented with a lot of cute features. We especially loved the fact that Dave got the fire going before we arrived and each day we were there too, warming the house on those cold winter days and Caren was delightful to talk to. The beds were very comfortable and our party all had great sleeps every night we were there. Even though the property is rural, it is only 15-20 minutes from Matamata; Morrinsville; Hobbiton and only half an hour to Cambridge and Hamilton.

There isn't anything we didn't like.

Attractive timber building. Friendly owner. Log fires.Comfortable lounge and beds.

Not as described. All accommodation is in main house with shared lounge and kitchen. Attic access is not suitable those without good mobility.

Caren, was a perfect host. She made us very welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast was laid out for us for when we came down from our room.

Nothing could improve.

We brought our own breakfast but there was a good selection that would have suited us equally as well and we were surprised at the choice on offering.

This is really grasping at straws to find fault but perhaps a carport would have meant our vehicle could have enjoyed the stay.
