Nice view from pool

-Located up quite a long hill, which at night is dark and lots of stray dogs around. Quite far from centre restaurants / bars. Fine if renting bike or car but not so great when walking and many taxis / trip transfers not willing to drive to hotel. -Strong Sewage smell from the bathroom that lingered around all the room whenever the door opened. - Towels only got changed 1 time in our 5 night stay & A/C not so great.

Exceptional Host: The host, Pitin, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Her efforts to make our stay comfortable were very much appreciated. Bizarre check in though as no reception desk and we went through the process quickly done at the porche of the property. Stunning Views & Tranquility: The property offers truly stunning views and a wonderful sense of peace and quiet. We often felt like we had the place to ourselves, with the exception of the owner living there (explained in the no so positive points). Personalised Service: The host provided excellent local recommendations for restaurants, taxis, and sightseeing. A particularly great touch was her offer to cut and prepare fresh fruit for us upon request, which was very helpful since there were no food and beverage facilities on-site. You had to buy your fruits (just to clarify). Helpful with Rentals: Pitin also assisted us with renting a motorbike. While the helmet initially provided didn't fit, she made a great effort to find a suitable replacement, which we really appreciated. Important to know this rental does not have any insurance attached to it and basically if anything happens, whatever it is, you will sign a document to take full responsibility of anything that happens. Coffee/Tea station complementary: you can have instant coffee and tea amenities at any time during your stay (not pressed coffee). Also cereals are offered in this station. The fridges contain cow milk and water replenished daily. Also microwave to warm up any food you have bought.

Crucial Clarification: This accommodation functions as a homestay/shared house. We understood we were staying in a room within the host's private home, which creates a very different dynamic. A lower floor with five guest bedrooms along a corridor and an upper floor with a small 2 bed apartment and the host's residence. This arrangement felt intrusive and required constant mindfulness regarding noise and movement. Unusually Strict House Rules: While the host was a lovely person, the stay was governed by an unusual number of highly restrictive and rigid house rules that significantly impacted the guest experience and felt far removed from standard accommodation or even private Airbnb stays. Pool Restrictions: Guests were not permitted to use sunscreen in the pool area (the stated reason was to maintain pool cleanliness). Despite this rule, the pool water was visibly murky (almost green). Furthermore, strict rules were in place against jumping or causing any splash/spillage, which severely limited enjoyment of the pool. In-Room Restrictions: Guests were not allowed to use aftersun lotion or similar creams in the bedroom to prevent staining the beddings. We were also instructed not to flush toilet paper, which, although common in some areas of the island due to poor drainage, should be clearly stated upfront for guest awareness. Privacy Violation: On several occasions, despite having the "Do Not Disturb" sign placed on our door, the host entered the room to make the beds and tidy. This is an unacceptable violation of guest privacy and has never happened to us in any other accommodation. Unadvertised Noise: There were loud, continuous construction works outside the window, with constant banging and noise occurring daily. Not communicated in advance. AC leaked heavily and it was explained that for this to stop we could not use the AC, if the toilet light was on and the toilet door open. Unable to get an extra key to kid's room.

Mooie kamer en locatie! Ietwat hoog gelegen op een berg maar daardoor ook een heel mooi uitzicht! Zeker een aanrader en we komen vast een keer terug. Een hele lieve eigenaresse! Een erg goed bed, zeer schaars in Thailand!
