Phandara Luxury Pool Villas

Wat een fantastische plek op Koh Tao! Een stukje omhoog de jungle in kom je uit bij de drie villa’s van Phandara. Ze liggen alledrie aan dezelfde trap naar beneden, maar alsnog heel privé. En je kijkt uit over de palmbomen naar de zee. Wij hadden Phandara villa 3. In de twee slaapkamers heb je airco. De ene slaapkamer heeft een buitenbadkamer en de andere slaapkamer gewoon een badkamer binnen. In het woongedeelte en de keuken is geen airco, maar er hangen waaiers aan het (hoge) plafond en de hele schuifpui kan open. Je springt dan zo vanaf je villa het zwembad in. Geweldig! We hebben meerdere eekhoorns gezien in de bomen, vogels, tjitjaks op de muur (die zitten uiteraard overal in Thailand), kikker bij het zwembad en hadden twee gekko’s in de villa (hoog in het dak en eentje bij de koelkast). Heel mooi! Vooral de lichtblauwe met oranje stippen. Ook wel wat grote rode mieren (bv. In de badkamer binnen), maar dat hoort er nou eenmaal bij in de jungle. Belangrijk om goed je eten op te ruimen en geen zoetigheid op bv. het aanrecht te leggen. Elke ochtend krijg je heerlijke pastries. Vooral de chocoladecroissant melk, puur of witte chocola was bij ons favoriet. Ook ligt de koelkast vol met lekkere drankjes, Ferrero rocher, Kinderbueno (daar betaal je een bijdrage voor). En bij aankomst heerlijk vers fruit. Daar word je toch blij van! Phandara heeft een privéchauffeur die je 3x per dag ergens heen kan brengen (minimaal een uur vantevoren aanvragen). Wat een geweldige service! Onze kinderen wilden steeds achterop de pick-up truck. Echt een succes zo de berg op en af. We hebben veel tips gekregen van leuke (en lekkere!) restaurantjes. In Touch vonden wij heel gezellig. Niet te duur en aan het strand. Thaise keuken en ook westerse dingetjes. En bij Charcoal hebben wij heerlijk gegeten! Wel iets prijziger, maar zeker de moeite waard. Goede wijnen. Ook the French café (meer in het stadje zelf) was een succes. Daar komen blijkbaar de pastries vandaan.

Absolutely beautiful. You couldn’t wish to stay somewhere more beautiful. Everything was perfectly clean. Loved the daily pastry delivery and complementary lifts up and down the hill. Nothing was too much trouble.

Beautiful villa perched on the hill above Sairee Beach. The staff were wonderful and attentive, the driver fantastic and the breakfast pastries a nice touch. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends for a quiet peaceful stay on Koa Tao

Our stay at Phandara was unforgettable. The villa was stunning, with breathtaking views, and the hosts were truly the kindest people. Every morning we received fresh pastries, and they gave us amazing recommendations for places to visit around the island. They also offer private shuttle service all day, which made getting around so easy and comfortable. Highly recommended

Loved everything

This was our fave stay in Thailand. The villas are lovely with sweeping views over the jungle clad hills and bay. There is a driver included who took us to a different beach each day and out for dinner each evening. And the Polish couple who own the property are more than helpful.

A lovely relaxing spot with fantastic views out to sea, as the property is situated around 200 meters above sea level. A taxi service is available, providing easy access to the nearby beaches, and a concierge service is on hand to support any enquiries during the day.

There is no air con in the living room, which meant it was very hot during the day, especially in the afternoon, as the villa faces west. However, it was April, which is the hottest month, and the rest of the year is probably fine without it.

Not fit with a small kids. Many stirs, need to pay attention always close the rooms doors because of the main area that is in open air.
