Surya Melasti Exclusive Beach Villa by Sajiwa

Booked this place on the strength of the good reviews but had an extremely bad and stressful experience staying here. In short, the place has gone downhill and is not being properly looked after or maintained. We booked a 'secluded private villa' but it backed onto a noisy construction site, where hammering, drilling and sawing go on from the early hours until late at night. If you use the outdoor shower you will be watched by several construction workers. The place isn't properly maintained or safe. Our front door came off it's hinges. Curtains would not close properly. Stray dogs constantly entered our property even when the gate was locked. Our air conditioner broke twice, flooding the villa with water, and later I was electrocuted. It's a falling apart mess. The staff were kind and tried their best to help us. I feel sorry for them, as the owner of the property is clearly negligent and taking money from guests even though this place is NOT currently fit to be in operation. I saw several other guests getting angry with staff and cancelling their bookings. This place ruined my trip to Bali as I spent so much time trying to deal with these problems, I wasn't able to get out and see the sights. In the end they denied me a refund. Do not book here. I wish I had spent 3 times the price to go somewhere that was run by an ethical owner. It's wrong to take guests money and scam them like this.

Too far away from everything. Advertised Restaurant and Minibar but nothing. Run down, power points didn’t work, little hot water

L’hébergement est vraiment beau, avec une piscine offrant une superbe vue. Le personnel est extrêmement gentil et attentif, ce qui rend le séjour très agréable. Vous pouvez même profiter de massages sur place, ce qui est un vrai plus. Cependant, la connexion Wi-Fi laisse à désirer : elle est très instable et plante fréquemment. De plus, l’eau chaude est souvent insuffisante, et il n’y a pas de restaurant à proximité, ce qui vous oblige à prendre la voiture ou le scooter pour chaque repas.

Was not far from the beach

Our villa was not cleaned, the windows and all surfaces are stained, everything is destroyed and needs restoration. We were not warned about the lack of towels, when I contacted the staff, they offered us to use a towel for the pool and sometimes they were not replaced with new ones. Only one hanger hung in a dark closet. It was the impression that the new staff were left to work on their own on the first day of work, that's the kind of service.

Very comfy bed, good air con and nice pool. That was it though :(

Had an abandoned feeling to it. Main pool deserted and dusty furniture. Our villa was old and in need of repair. Location middle of nowhere- restaurant was closed. No close by places to eat. Couldn’t walk anywhere at night. Construction next door was so loud, drilling went all day and evening. We left after one day and they kindly refunded us the rest of our stay back.

Some corners were a bit dusty and a bit dirty but is wasn’t a big deal.

We didn’t end up staying just due to the extreme noise of huge machinery digging into rock directly Nextdoor. It was unbareable so we left and weren’t given a refund or even a decent email outlining why.
