Casa da Talhada - Stone House

Eine einmalige Unterkunft, mit einem traumhaften, beruhigenden Garten mit Blick über die Stadt und auf die Burg. Wir mussten unseren Aufenthalt verlängern, so sehr hat es uns gefallen.

The house is really nice if you like the old tradition. its right at the edge of the wall. very nice view.

the WIFI never worked for us. and also there is no instruction for operating the Microwave and stove. we arrived very late of the evening and try to cook for our dinner, but cannot get the stove working and no WIFI to google it. we have to wait for the host to send the housekeeper to help us. it will be nice to have some kind of instruction sheet in the kitchen.

The house is right out of a mystical dreamy movie set. We were in awe of the scale of the house and the overall structure. The house shares a wall with the castle wall and there are huge chunks of rocks that become part of the house interiors. The rooms are massive with good functional bathrooms. Technically total 7 people can be easily accommodated if not more but we had booked it for 5. The house also has a beautiful garden attached to it offering you beautiful vista of the entire Obidos town inside the fort walls. Overall a 10/10 house and definitely value for money.

We were guided to park our car in the parking lot about 500m away from the house but getting to the house with our massive quantities of luggage turned out to be a nightmare due to some of the steep staircases we had to climb. Later we realised that we could have brought the car relatively closer to the house and that would have been more convenient for sure.

It's the most unique place i have ever stayed in.

It's a little musky and damp but that's expected for a house built into a rock hundreds of years ago

So awesome!! We loved everything about this lovely historic place —- the religious artwork and sculptures, the two absolutely amazing terraces that offer beautiful views of the walled city of Obidios by day and even more gorgeous with the illuminated city walls at night.

Needed soap/shampoo.

An astonishing house built into the stone wall encircles the town of Obidos. Oil paintings, sculptures, and other decor create the illusion of being transported to medieval times. The outdoor terrace that overlooks the town is beautifully decorated and the view is spectacular. This is a unique experience that I'l always remember.
