Villa Habarana

The villa was impeccable and the outdoor shower was incredible. The owner is very attentive and thoughtful. You should stay here! I was their first guest from Mexico and they were very grateful to have me staying with them.

I liked everything about the property! The hosts were so friendly, helpful and kind. We were lucky enough to be the first people to stay in their new villa … it was pristine! Beautifully designed … everything you could want … the location is stunning … feels like you’re in a wooden cabin, in the middle of the jungle; where as in reality, you’re in easy walking distance to great restaurants, shops, etc … but the room is so peaceful, set in the nature. All the excursions that the host arranged for us were brilliant … Sigiriya rock, Pidurangala rock, the safari, and Ritigala. Breakfasts were amazing! Lots to choose from! And our hostess even gave us a framed photo of us at the villa! Amazing! Highly recommend!

Die bisher beste Unterkunft, die wir in Sri Lanka hatten! Die Besitzerin ist ganz zauberhaft. Sie wohnt mit ihrer Familie gleich um die Ecke und steht jederzeit bereit, um Wünsche zu erfüllen. Bislang hatten sie ein Häuschen, seit gestern ist das zweite fertig. Die Häuser sind wirklich geschmackvoll und top ausgestattet. Mit Liebe zum Detail, u.a. sind die Steckdosen mit Adaptern ausgestattet. Die Betten sind hervorragend und mit neuen Moskitonetzen ausgestattet. Der Pool zur Mitbenutzung steht im Hotel nebenan zur Verfügung, wir hatten aber leider keine Zeit zum ausprobieren. Die Lage ist gut, ruhig und trotzdem in Reichweite zu Restaurants oder zum Ortskern. Kann man alles zu Fuß erreichen oder, wenn es zu heiß ist, auch per tuktuk. Alles in allem: super, wir haben nichts auszusetzen.

Il bungalow, nuovo, ben arredato e accogliente è immerso in un’oasi di pace. Il bagno regala una doccia all’aperto davvero splendida! Lo consiglio a chiunque voglia rilassarsi in tranquillità dopo una giornata fuori a visitare i dintorni. I gestori sono disponibili e molto gentili. La colazione è incredibilmente abbondante e deliziosa!

I enjoyed my stay in this cottage so much that I decided to stay two nights more. Dilani is a very good host, checking regularly if you are OK. You can use the swimmingpool across the lane for free. But for $7 or LKR2000 you can also use the swimmingpool of the nearby walking distance Habarana Village hotel by Cinnamon. This is a large pool with comfy beds, mattress and big towel at the lakeside. The second twin cottage is now also operational. Dilani organised my taxi back to Colombo for a good price.

Nothing, all was great!

This is a lovely new cottage in the jungle. It has two double beds with good mattress and mosquito nets. An outside bathroom with good hot shower and toiletries incl. hairdryer, shaving kit. The cottage is well lit, good a/c and has coffee and tea and a fridge. Dilani, the owner, is a very good cook, she made rice and curry with many vegetable and chicken curries. The breakfast was also different each day with eggs, hoppers, roti and many other Sri Lankan foods. Too much to eat for one person. Dilani organised my tuk tuk driver Sarath. He took me to Pidurangala at 04.30am and afterwards to Dambulla rock temple. She also organised my jeep safari to Hurulu Eco Park. We saw over 50 elephants. All in all a very great location for my three days stay. The people in the neighbourhood are also very friendly.

Ein sehr schöner neuer Bungalow in einem Wald mit Dschungel Charakter 🤩. Man hat seine Ruhe und ist nach ca. 1200m auf der Hauptstraße. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr bemüht, vielen Dank für das tolle Frühstück 😋 und die Vermittlung einer Ayurvedischen Massage (die Beste die wir in 4 Wochen auf der Insel hatten 👍) gut gelegen für alle Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Der Bungalow hat alles was man braucht, vom Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher, Moskitonetz bis zum Ventilator und ein super schönes Bad. Ist noch ein Geheimtipp, ein zweiter Bungalow ist bereits im Bau, wir wünschen viel Erfolg für die Zukunft 👋🙏

Wir haben 5 Nächte in Jungle Shade verbracht. Und wir hatten eine außergewöhnlich gute Zeit. Die Besitzerin und ihr Mann sind außergewöhnlich gastfreundlich: wir haben uns vom ersten bis zum letzten Augenblick wohlgefühlt. Außerdem ist Dilani eine wunderbare Köchin: Sie hat das beste srilankische Frühstück und Abendessen in einem überdachten Essbereich im Garten serviert. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig mit einer großen Auswahl an verschiedenen Gerichten. Das Gleiche gilt für das köstliche Abendessen. Die „Villa“ ist neu, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sauber und sehr geräumig für zwei Personen, mit bequemen Betten, Mosquitonetz, modernen Installationen und sehr gut funktionierendem Wifi/Warmwasser/AC. Außerdem gibt es eine Wassererhitzer. Im Außenbereich hat die „Villa“ eine schattige Veranda mit Sitzgelegenheiten. Der ganze Ort ist besonders friedlich inmitten einer grünen Oase. Dilani hat uns in jeder Hinsicht unterstützt: sei es bei der Organisation unserer Ausflüge (gute Lage, um alle Highlights des kulturellen Dreiecks zu besuchen), bei Empfehlungen für Restaurants oder zum Einkaufen oder beim Herstellen von Kontakten für Massagen, Safari und Tuktuk-Fahrer. Die nächsten Restaurants sind zu Fuß in 5 Minuten zu erreichen, oder in 15 Minuten in die Stadt. Sehr empfehlenswert Ort und Besitzerin! We stayed 5 nights at jungle shade. And we had an exceptionally good time. The owner and her husband are very welcoming and kind: we felt comfortable from the first to the last moment. In addition Dilani is a wonderful cook: she served the best Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner in a special dining area. The breakfast was abundant with a wide variety of dishes. Wir haben zu dritt drei Nächte in der Jungle Shade Villa verbracht. Es handelt sich um ein kleines Häuschen mit zwei großen Betten auf einem gepflegten Grundstück. Die Lage ist zur Besichtigung von Sigiriya, Ritigala, Polonnaruwa und Dambulla perfekt. Für eine Elefantensafari kann man sich abholen lasse. Die Unterkunft wird liebevoll betreut von einer jungen Familie, die großartiges Abendessen kocht, Pickups organisiert und Restaurant-Tipps gibt. Auch hat die Gastgeberin eine Schneiderin organsiert, die in kürzester Zeit zwei wunderschöne und sehr gut passende Kleider für mich und meine Schwester gezaubert hat. Eine unglaublich herzliche Atmosphäre. Den Pool des kleinen Ressort in der Nachbarschaft durften wir benutzen. Die Jungle Shade Villa ist sehr zu empfehlen. Ein zweites Häuschen ist im Entstehen, es fehlt nur noch die Inneneinrichtung. The three of us spent three nights in the Jungle Shade Villa. It is a small cottage with two large beds on a well-kept property. The location is perfect for visiting Sigiriya, Ritigala, Polonnaruwa and Dambulla. You can be picked up for an elephant safari. The accommodation is lovingly looked after by a young family who cook great dinners, organise pick-ups and give restaurant tips. The landlady also organised a tailor who made two beautiful and very well-fitting dresses for me and my sister in no time at all. An incredibly warm atmosphere. We were allowed to use the pool at the small resort in the neighbourhood. The Jungle Shade Villa is highly recommended. A second house is being built, only the interior is missing.
