Shangri Lanka Luxury Resort Yala

Absolutely fantastic place to stay and the staff Theekshona and Indika are so helpful and nothing too much trouble. The setting is idyllic and puctures don't justify the place. Rooms are huge and spotlessly clean and pool area is amazing. Food is fantastic and worth staying in to eat.

There is nothing not to love

De gastheren waren super vriendelijk en stonden altijd voor je klaar. Het ontbijt was prima verzorgd en er is ook een lunch en dinerkaart met lekkere gerechten. De bungalow is super. Lekker ruim, badkamer is luxe en alles is erg schoon. Bedden waren zalig en er is een airco in de kamer. De gastheer kan een safari voor je regelen en je wordt opgehaald bij de bungalow met een safari jeep. Het is ongeveer een half uurtje rijden naar de ingang van het gebied. We hadden een hele goede safari chauffeur.

De wifi was buiten onder de veranda van onze bungalow uitstekend maar binnenin de bungalow slecht.

Beautiful property, clean, comfortable big bed, fridge, beautiful and unique outdoor bathroom with modern bath, big mirror and outdoor shower. Breakfast was lovely and staff were great especially Indika who was so friendly, welcoming and helpful during our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely recommend anybody visiting Yala to stay here.

The staff here can't do enough for you, theekshana was a great host. Breakfast was fantastic. Had some great french toast. The hotel is super quiet. The pool is at a great temperature. I've never loved a bathroom so much as here is an incredible shower under starlight. Stayed two nights. Would happily stay a week. It's quite remote. We did a safari the one day and chilled by the pool the next day. There's a nice lake nearby which we did a 10km run. Was a 5km out and back. Great sunset. Felt very safe around here. In terms of activities. We did a month-long tour of Sri Lanka, and this was definitely the best accommodation we stayed in.

There's not a great deal to do other than the safari and the pool. But if that's what you want this place is perfect.

God beliggenhed for besøg i Yala Nationalpark. God morgenmad. Vi blev opgraderet til et andet værelse med stort udendørs badeværelse, der var meget flot. God Aircondition. Børnene var glade for poolen.

Vi spiste aftensmad på hotellet en aften, og ventede op til 1,5 time på maden, og den blev serveret på helt forskellige tidspunkter, så ingen af os fire i familien spiste sammen. Der var ikke roomservice, da vi var der, men vi fik nye håndklæder, da vi bad om det. Køleskabet virkede ikke.

The individual bungalows were really large,very quiet and extremely comfortable.Breakfast was really good.The pool and the surrounding area were like a tropical paradise.The staff were very friendly and were always smiling,and always very willing to please.

The room was ‘tired’ and though of a large size it and bathroom could not be considered ‘deluxe’. The blinds did not all work, there was no tissues in the box, and the table cloths in the reception area were not clean. The dinner menu available was average and branded under a different establishment. The room’s document folder was not up to date and had been draw on. There was nothing in the second folder.
