Vip Villas - Caleta Dorada

Spacious accommodation close to everything small private pool

Very old fashioned in need of a good update

The space was great, plenty of room around the pool, rooms were big and the basement was a great space. As everyone else said, it needs updating, especially the sofa. It was great having the dishwasher, washing machine, fans, iron and ironing board. Staff were great. The place was cleaned every 2nd day and the pool guy came within an hour when we reported a lot of sand and dirt in the bottom of the pool after a sand storm the previous week. Reception staff were very helpful when we had issues with our pickup and the driver didn't speak a lot of English.

The layout was strange, all rooms coming off the pool area and having no hallway to connect them or have privacy going from a bedroom to the bathroom. You had to go outside to get from one room to another. As a result we had to lock our bedroom door at night and unlocking it during the night to use the bathroom, woke us both up. We really enjoyed our week, only for all the noise around the villa. We had, number 10, Villa Fuertaventura. There was a bottle recycling area across the road, so at around 11.15/11.30pm we could hear the bar staff across the road wheeling the big laundry bin full of bottles. Those bins make a sound like train tracks on the cobble like paths. Then the noise of the bottles going into the recycling bins, the noise of the recycling lorry emptying them between 1.30 & 3.30am. Then from 8/8.15am till 4.30pm, the noise of the cleaning staff moving the laundry bins/cleaning carts around on cobble type paths because the storage area for them was beside the bottle recycling bin. So no matter if you like an early night or a lie in, you're woken by something. I would like to try some on the lower level, if we ever book them again.

Nothing only thing good we could use the Caleta Dorada pool area even though the Caleta dorada hotel has nothing to do with the VIP villas this hotels name should not be associated with these villas

I don’t like that the couch had fleas the beds had bugs and my children my self and husband ended up infected from them on antibiotics and ruined our holiday !!!

Cleaning staff were lovely but didn’t need them every other day !

Property lacked TLC and was tired and uncared for Hot tub unusable/ in poor repair Lack of water at times in property meaning couldn’t always shower Showers in poor state of repair, one particularly mouldy. Pool cues all broken, lacking tips or split Lack of grout resulting in lots of ants in kitchen, had to buy traps Various bulbs not working on arrival - couldn’t use kitchen first night Directly under flight path which I guess is one of those things but recommend ear plugs to future guests if you want a lie in.

Great villa (no 3). A little dated but clean and functional. Great value for money over New Year. Good location but a little up the hill. Permitted to use facilities of the hotel complex next door but we didn't use them. Lots of indoor and outdoor space with surprise pool table/lounge in the basement.

Tried breakfast once - very busy and not enough staff to keep up with demand for clean crockery and cutlery. Not an issue for us as we prefer to go pit anyway.
