Superb location, in a quiet area on the beach with beautiful view on the castle of Rethymnon. One literally walks out from the villa into the water. Very spacious villa, 2,5 floors, with 2 bedrooms (with an extra mezzanine with extra beds) and a bathroom. Car can be conveniently parked right next to the villa, safely away from the street. Welcome with wine bottle and some raki as well as fresh fruits from the garden and home made pastries. Very friendly owner who arranged things according to our whishes. 15 min walk (or 7 eur taxi) from the center of Rethymnon. An absolute top location !

Spacious and lovely villa with all facilities. Beach just metres from front decking and pool at the back. Host Athina was very friendly and supplied fresh fruit and cleaning/new linen & towels during our stay Has parking and good central place to explore Crete Mountain villages Spili and Argyroupli not far and have great food. Good access to southern beaches at Preveli and Triopetra Would definitely stay again

Everything was perfect. Thanks Athina Parking in Rethymnon is quite limited at peak times but you can walk!

What an amazing place. It was difficult to pull ourselves away from the outside area before 9 at night each day. Just brilliant sitting there and swimming in practically a private beach. Athena was so lovely aswell with gifts on arrival (ouzo, wine, fruit, butter, jam) and throughout (homemade cake). Loved the place. Highly recommend.

Nothing to do with the Volakas but ensure you make a booking for the restaurants at night beside the property. Tanepa, 7 seas, prima pora, cavo are all lovely by the sea but busy before 9.30 at night.

Perfect location - 15min walk from Old Town of Rethimno, near to the bus station and some restaurants. Very quiet beach front villa with full equipped kitchen. Our host - Athina was very polite. At our arrival she brings us fresh fruits, coffee and bread. She advised us for restaurants and beaches near Rethimno.

The villa is not suitable for 6 persons. There aren't 2 bathrooms - only 1 and 1 toilet. The beds are not comfortable.

Perfect beachfront location 😌🌅 Beautiful villa with everything you could possible need. We loved the beach ( we found it better than the main beach in Rethymon ) . Such a peaceful location . Amazing host Anita , who provided us with fresh fruits , bread, fridge stocked up with milk, juice & eggs . It’s in an up & coming part of Rethymon with some fabulous local restaurants . Mini market next door . 20 mins walk to old town , approx 40 min walk to main beach and restaurants in Rethymon main centre . Going to sleep & waking up to the sound of the sea was truly something special. Fantastic holiday & lots of memories we’re made .

The mattresses on both twin beds were very hard . Personal opinion of course & preference . But my teenage kids did find them uncomfortable . Mattress topper would be beneficial .

We love it!!! It was an amazing week. We enjoyed the location, the hospitality of Mrs. Athina and the attention to details. The villa is perfectly located direct at the beach. We had the maximum pleasure and could really rest. Our host Mrs. Athina is really friendly and caring, she passed by every day with fresh fruits, bread and for small talk. Thank you and keep it up. Will definitely visit again.

Everything was perfect

A lovely clean and well presented property which has fabulous beachfront access right on the doorstep as well as the option of a privately shared pool. Fabulous views from the private shared patio area. Everything about our stay was perfect. The villa is well maintained and perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday. The owners Athina and Stavros are extremely helpful and attentive as well as being very flexible - letting us check in early on arrival - and out a bit later when leaving - due to our flight times. Athina is really a fantastic hostess and very welcoming, who cannot do enough to make your stay comfortable. The personal touch is priceless. The villa is well kitted out with a comfortable seating area and kitchen facilities, towels and other amenities you would expect. This is an up and coming area which is outside of the hustle and bustle of Rethymno town but still close enough to enjoy all it has to offer. There are a few good restaurants and shops nearby, supermarkets etc are all convenient and within a walking distance, but in our view a hire car is advisable as it provides easy access to Rethymno town and for visiting other areas in Crete. Safe parking is available at the property. The beach was quiet and safe with a lifeguard in attendance. We were a family of five and we all thoroughly enjoyed this property for a family stay - we highly recommend for all age groups.

Everything within the villa complex was perfect, there was nothing we didn't like. The area is up and coming - so there is a mixture of very high end hotels and villas and other areas under development. This is just an observation, not a negative.

The proximity to Old Town is perfect. It's far enough away from the noise and hustle and bustle, yet close enough to walk to if you're interested. The property is private, and stunningly beautiful. The care and effort by Athina and her family is top notch. There are several top notch restaurants withing 5 minute walk. There was fresh fruit and baked goods from Athina waiting for us when we arrived. I can't say enough about how well the family makes you feel part of theirs. 100% will stay here again!

Villa was immaculate, beach perfect and old town 5 mins in a taxi. The owner was so friendly and kind, giving us fruits from her own garden.

Two bedrooms were gallery type, with very steep ladders. luckily we didnt need to use them.
