Less than 30 mins from central Gloucester but you feel a World away. Lovely views, woken by the sound of horses. A great getaway.

"lovely scenery and horses. a comfortable stay."

8.0

Loved the views and the horses and barn swallows.

we couldn't get the tv to work, microwave appeared rusty and the lighting in the dressing room area would be better brighter. The website mentions a bbq but the cottage doesn't have one.

"Good"

7.0

Lavender cottage was clean and well equipped.

The television channels did not work. A number of DVDs were provided, so this was the only thing that could be watched. There was also a radio that did not work. It would also be useful for a plug to be provided for the kitchen sink for washing up.

"Lovely relaxing place to stay and beautiful views"

8.0

Beautiful views and peaceful location of the cottage. Was lovely to see the horses walking by the window everyday The walk up to Mayhill was lovely and very enjoyable We prepared some simple meals and there was everything we needed for it. The cottage was cosy and very well decorated, the beds were comfortable and we had a nice time there.

We usually prefer more private secluded places to stay, from the photos we thought it had a private outdoor sitting area but it is actually right outside the cottage where people and horses walk by, not that there was that many people but if you're looking for somewhere private this may not meet your requirements The breakfast bar was ok to sit and eat our meals, it is not big enough but we made do. Other than that there is no other sitting area indoors unless you sit on the bed which was ok for us Not sure if there was WiFi in the property, we couldn't find any and phone reception is not the greatest but it was a welcome digital detox time for us.

"Perfect cosy hideout. Great wifi."

10.0

I was working in Gloucester, which is half an hour drive. The little cottage is perfect for that. Great wifi so I could work in the evenings. Cosy warm, clean, 'corner kitchen' with full oven, bathroom. Also there are great stress-busting walks on the doorstep. Quiet.

I loved it, but everywhere (shops, pubs etc) is a drive. That suits me but might not be for everybody
