"Friendly people, gorgeous views, and a sweet cottage!"

10.0

It’s in a beautiful location and the cottage is comfortable, charming, and has everything you need. Rachel, Henry, and their dogs are delightful, friendly, and helpful. One more night and we might have even win over Pixie! The Lavender Cottage is definitely on my list of places I’d like to go back to. Thank you, Rachel and Henry! (Also, thanks to the staff at The Glass House!)

This doesn’t really qualify are a dislike; more of an “I wish I had been more comfortable driving in England.” The cottage is easily found by Google Maps, but there are a fair number of narrow country roads.

"Beautiful Lavender Cottage - A Gem hidden away in Mayhill."

10.0

Little bit of heaven tucked away in the hills. Beautiful accommodation, ideal for couples wanting to get away from it all. Thoughtfully presented with everything you could possibly need. Very cosy and warm

The weather, which was nobody's fault. It rained alot but it made the accommodation more cosy. Be aware that the roads are very narrow approaching the property so take your time and arrive before it gets dark.

"Quiet with great views."

7.0

The sign to May Hill Farm is not big, so you need to be aware of when your sat nav says you have arrived there could be more road to cover to find the drive. Great views. Great if you like horses. Great for peace and quiet.

The long drive to first the Livery is full of pot holes, not great for the car. The cottage needs the heating on 24 hours as the floor is stone cold. There is a smell of damp in the cupboards and bathroom.

"A beautiful and well equipped cottage in a lovely rural setting"

10.0

We arrived on a cold day and the cottage was cosy and warm as we entered. It was exceptionally clean and very well equipped with everything we needed for our two night stay. The cottage is set in a beautiful, peaceful area where we felt we had really gotten away from it all and able to really unwind. I loved the little dressing room area, it was a lovely touch. The cottage was a perfect place to stay for our visit into Gloucester and we will certainly return again.

"Beaitful property and location."

9.0

Location was perfect. Beautiful setting, very clean and good facilities. Good walk up May Hill and easy access to Gloucester and Ross-on-Wye

Booking.com did not inform host of our visit so host was not prepared for us, but was very accommodating for us and quickly got the room ready
