If you are looking at sharing some time with an Indonesian family, this is a great option. Magdalena, husband and three daughters will put you at ease and will ensure you are welcome in their home. We shared a meal with them and felt welcome to ask questions. I liked the fact their home and garden are a bit out of Ruteng, less noisy and more pleasant to rest at.

I liked the whole experience. Accommodation is basic but was sufficient for us.

It is a really lovely family, we felt warm welcomed and the food was amazing!

Magdelana and Hironimus were amazing hosts! It was an absolute pleasure to stay with them. They are warm and kind people and if you are looking for a genuine experience of life in Indonesia then you must stay here! They cooked dinner for us which was made using local ingredients and shared together. At the time there was also a French family staying, so all of us sat together and ate and it was a great experience. For breakfast we sat outside and Magdelana showed us all the things in the garden and explained how she prepared everything and we drank the coffee she prepared. She often repeats that things are basic in the house, which is true, but it is clean and comfortable and has everything you need in such a peaceful location (and awesome bed!). I recommend to stay here!

Wonderful stay. Loved the place. The owners and their children were beautiful, so friendly and helpful. Dinner was great each night. It's a bit of an uphill hike from town but good exercise. Or get a moto. Highly recommend.

- a wonderful family who welcomed us with open arms - Magdalena even came all the way to Labuan Bajo with the driver to pick us up (an 8 hour round trip!) - we felt like part of the family (kids involved in cooking and came with us to visit the sites)

Such a welcoming beautiful family. They welcomed us like friends and fed us such delicious food. We all ate together and the children also danced for us, we also danced and played cards. We were rubbish at shirt card game but we all laughed so much! A truely authentic homestay with the best food and gorgeous family. Thankyou so much for having us!
