Karleta Homestay

We were told that we couldn't stay because they would not be open because they weren't home. We were charged and confirmed by Booking before we arrived. They asked us to cancel our booking which was non-refundable if we did that. We had to find other accomodations at the last minute. Owner contacted me and said they would repay us in 2 weeks after Booking pays them. I have no idea how that will be possible.

The opportunity to stay with a Flores family in their home.They provided a delicious meal of local food which was included in the price.The room was basic but very clean with bright sheets and a warm blanket which was needed as Ruteng was quite cold. I the morning I had breakfast on the verandah with a spectacular view over the mountains to Ruteng.

The familie is extremely welcoming.

What an amazing family. From the welcoming of their children when we arrived, to the genuine hosts who invited us to join them with their family for the evening. They further went over and above for us when we had an issue with our bike, speaking with mechanics etc. thank you so much

Very warm welcome. We loved to share the family moments, and had a delicious dinner prepared by the owner. If you are looking to live within a local family, this is the place to go ! A bit far from the center, but breakfast and dinner are provided, meaning you don't need to go out :) Our kids played with the owner's kids, and had a great time !

The owners welcomed us warmly, and it was very nice to converse with them, and the other guests over dinner. That just made for a great vibe! The food was delicious and plenty. The location is located close to a forrest, so nice strolls throughout the neighbourhood are possible.

The shower didn't work during the time of our stay, due to a water shortage.

Family were really welcoming and friendly. Ate dinner together which was nice and played football with the children. Also organised motorbike and gave useful insights in to local attractions

The property is very basic but does the job

Magdalena’s family is absolutely lovely :) just for this is a must go !! You feel like at home They cook us diner for the 8 of us at night, very great guesthouse ! Would definitely recommend it if you want to be with the local :) Thanks for everything
