Tshikwalo Game Lodge

The staff were amazing, they wrote friendly and helpful. Everyone always greated. The restaurant food was great. The roos were stunning. The game drive was very cool.

I would have liked the breakfast to be fully included and not a voucher for R100. I would have liked a mattress and bedding for the 5year year old. Too many self drivers in the reserve disturbs the game drive.

The room had a kitchenette, so we were able to prepare a simple meal instead of having to go to the restaurant. The Lodge was also very close to a shopping area so we were able to purchase fresh milk for coffee.

The restaurant is not open after 18:00 on a Sunday and is closed on Mondays - therefore no onsite catering is available at these times. The bath towels are too small - we need bath sheets not bath towels.

Shower heads need replacing - blocked Shower drains need clearing - blocked

We have been 6 times to Tshikwalo and stayed in chalet no 19 ( ultimate favourite due to location in the corner with a fire pit ) and would return again to chalet no 19 for our next visit.

The outside seating cushions were not put away during the rain and was soaking wet upon arrival and next day. The bathroom door was difficult to open from the inside if the latch was locked - was missing the knot on the latch. The lodge guest WiFi for that chalet was not good but we had our own mobile router. Clearer instructions about cleaning staff and keys to be left would help.
