Loved the cabin feel, super cosey and private and relaxing. Very well equipped super clean and fresh. bed unreal comfy. Brilliant location. 👏 excellent stay . very quiet at foot of Donard. Highly recommend and defs will look to stay here again. thankyou so much ❤️❤️

This not most definitely not dislikes just recommendations as cabin AMAZING. Got really bright in cabin at early summer AM mornings. wee sun shades over blinds / sky window maybe would help. More cleaning stuff. love leaving the place the way I get it. like a nice wee surface spray etc . xxx 🥰

Gorgeous lodge with everything we needed to relax and unwind for the weekend. Highly recommend this place for a couple if you plan on spending a few days in the local area, eating well and hiking the mountains.

Roll top bath, comfy bed, great layout

Lighting could be better, and vanity unit for hair and makeup would be beneficial

loved the comfy bed, the fancy pillows, the robotic bin, the huge bath and the general ultra-cozy vibe of the place!! weather conditions are very changeable in Ireland, and this cabin heated up quickly when it was cold outside, and maintained a very comfortable temperature when it was hot outside. the hosts are incredibly hands-off and the lodgings felt very private even though we were right next door to their house. the location is excellent and Newcastle is a beautiful, gorgeous, stunning wee town. we would definitely stay here again when we return to Newcastle.

in my opinion it would have been a nice touch to include a small portion of cooking oil and a dish brush. I didn't want to be cheeky in asking - as I could and did simply purchase these later - but it was inconvenient when cooking breakfast and cleaning up afterwards.

Great accommodation. Maintained to a very high standard. Spotlessly clean. We have recommended the Donard Shadow Lodge to friends already. Would definitely book again.
