Kitsune Cottages

Everything about Kitsune is perfect and well thought out. The location is perfect with quick bus stops to the ski resorts just a short walk away. There are also a ton of places to eat within walking distance. The cottage is clean, warm, and well taken care of. The thing that makes this particular listing surpass others, is the host Patrick. You can tell he is not just running a business here. He goes out of his way to go above and beyond and you can tell he genuinely cares about the best interest of people and wants the best possible experience for you while you’re visiting Hakuba. He is knowledgeable of everythingk in the area and the mountains as well. I will absolutely look forward to coming out here again and staying at Patrick’s Cottages in the future!

we loved everything

The property was comfortable, warm and well supplied with amenities and the larger beds were a great bonus. The Cottage is located a quick walk from Echoland and all the restaurants and ski hire places there. The host was absolutely fantastic; picking us up from the station, taking us to the shops and always giving us advice and help for food or ski hire if asked.

Patrick made our stay! He went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and that we had all the local knowledge required.

Very clean, roomy and comfortable with all the modern facilities required included. Great location in a quiet area but only 150m from centre of Echoland. Patrick was the best host I have encountered. He provided heaps of advice on ski fields, restaurants and anything we wanted to know about the area. Patrick was always contactable and provided bus station pick up and drop off as well as grocery shopping trips.

The space is excellent, we had everything we needed for the week. The beds are so comfy and cozy! We are a family of 4 and we had a bedroom each with two beds spare. The house is warm, welcoming and a short 5 minute walk into Echoland. We were happy to chill out at night at the house, it was just a home away from home.

Nothing, I couldn’t fault it. Patrick has thought of everything.

Property was clean, well organised and warm. Loved the drying room and heated floor. Location was so convenient with it only being a 5 minute walk to ski lift free shuttle bus and also so easy to walk to restaurants and shops on Main Street. Patrick was so helpful always easy to communicate with and replied so quickly to any questions. He also helped us get to and fro the bus station on arrival and departure, took us to the slopes on our first day and offers to take us to supermarket alternate days as required.

The owner flexibly addressed to our request for check-in time. The cotage we stayed was very clean, fully functioned and really confotable. We really would like to stay the cotage again next time.

We had an amazing stay at Kitsune. The property is large, modern, very comfortable and clean, and has everything you need. Upstairs, there are 3 large bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed, and two with 2 x single beds, while downstairs there is a very large living space with kitchen, dining table, couches and TV - so it worked perfectly for our family of 5. The kitchen is well appointed, so you can make breakfast and even dinner if you don't feel like going out. Laundry facilities were very handy, also. The photo's don't do the property justice - its much new (almost brand new) and more modern than we were expecting. The location of the property is excellent, just a 3 minute walk to the bus stop to head to the various ski resorts, and a 5 minute walk to the main street with all the restaurants, ski shops and the convenience store. Perhaps the best part of staying at this property is Patrick, the owner. He was by far the best host we have every come across. He picked us up from the bus stop on arrival and dropped us off on departure. He took us to the supermarket to get some shopping for our stay, and explained everything we need to know, such as buses, ski resorts, and restaurants. He even pick us up one day from a ski resort when my wife had a sore knee! Partick was amazing and made our stay so much easier and more enjoyable.

There is nothing not to like about Kitsune. My family and I highly recommend staying there and look forward to returning one day. We'll be recommending it to our friends.
