Great location for visiting the Caingorms. Excellent views and peaceful site. Comfortable accommodation. Good village shop within a few minutes walk. Excellent local walks.

Only minor points but an information sheet on the local area, shop, cafe, walks etc and facilities would be good. Wi-fi would be appreciated although 4G signal was good.

The kids loved the view with the sheep and rabbits in the field.

We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the caravan, when we arrived the first thing we were met with was the remnants of someone's lunch on the dinning table and chairs ie crumbs! the main living area of the van was very grubby and in need of a deep clean and upgrading, as was the decking round the caravan with rusty chairs , we had to use our own camping chairs , the hob and oven in the kitchen was covered in grease along the front of it , we didn't use it ! Some black bin liners for the bucket would have been appreciated to make life alot easier ! the bathroom shower was taped up to stop the shower head spurting water everywhere but wasn't actually doing a great job ! my grandchildren were feeling chilly in there bed so I pulled out a spare quilt from the cupboard which had a big blood stain on it ! thankfully I had taken a blanket with me .

Great location, quiet ,good Outlook dog friendly, cosy, plenty walks from accommodation. I travelled by scotrail then strathspey line, site was easy to find from the station.

Everything was fine

Beautiful location in Boat of Garten, which although it may not have the shops Aviemore does is infinitely quieter and prettier. The lodge looks out over fields with sheep grazing and I even saw a stoat hunting rabbits (which was amazing to see in real life).

The only possible complaint at this price point could be that the lodge was extremely hot but in fairness when I visited it was a heatwave and everywhere was hot. It was quite difficult to cool the property enough to sleep. It’s unlikely to be a problem 50 weeks of the year.
