A continental breakfast was provided with a choice of teas, fresh fruit, orange juice and choice of cereals. Tea and cake was provided in the sitting room which was a lovely touch. There was a fire in the stove on a wet and cold evening. The hosts were very welcoming and kind. I would definitely stay again.

I had a most fantastic stay 5-night stay at Rodeen Country House. Sophie and Philippe were wonderfully warm and welcoming hosts. They made their home feel like my home to me. Philippe was eager to help me plan my days on the peninsula. He was quite knowledgeable and his suggestions were very helpful. I also had some lovely chats with him as well. My room (Single with Sea View) perfectly met my needs. Simple, cozy, cute and quiet. I spent quite a bit of time in the common room as well in the evening, which felt just like hanging out in the living room at home. The location is ideal as a homebase if you're planning on touring the whole peninsula because it is rather central. And the town of Castletownbere is a very short drive away with great restaurants. I also very much enjoyed the breakfast as well as the outdoor seating area where I ate it each morning. The grounds were very beautiful, too. My very positive experience at Rodeen gave me all the space I needed to fully experience the magic of the Beara Peninsula. I would definitely stay there again.

Warm welcome by Philip and Sophie, magnificent garden, fresh fruit, juice and lovely breakfast, fresh milk provided for tea/coffee-such a lovely change from UHT milk cartons in most places. Room had everything needed and bed was very comfortable. I'll be back.

Breakfast was good. But I suppose I’m use’t to a cooked breakfast in BnBs but it was good

The hosts are FANTASTIC - super friendly and always available to answer questions. They suggested many local hikes and restaurants and they were full of great information about the surrounding area. The breakfasts were also very nice and always included a homemade baked item. The property and surrounding gardens are lovely.

The rooms are small, and the bathrooms are TINY.

Hosts Philip & Sophie were so pleasant and welcoming.Helpfull with any advise.Will gladly return.

Everything! Sophie and Phillippe are such amazing hosts! They even decorated the room and left wine and strawberries for my boyfriends 30th 🥰 They are so helpful and the breakfast every morning is always amazing! Can't wait to come back again ❤️
