Nothing could have been better - except to have stayed longer!

Absolutely fantastic stay. We were there for 3 nights and wished we had stayed longer. The property is very special, and Philippe and Sophie create a welcoming atmosphere.

Warmth of welcome . Stunning location. Delicious breakfast. Quiet and restful.

Nothing! Our room had a small shower area but was fine for a short stay and the view more than made up for it! Had everything we needed including freshly- ground coffee microwave etc

Breakfast was incredible. The food was freshly prepared everyday, was excellent quality, and a diverse array was offered. Coffee and tea was available in the rooms, as well as a mini fridge. Fresh baked goodies were available for snacking throughout the day. My room had an amazing view of the bay, and I was able to enjoy sunrise and sunset in their beautiful garden. Phillipe and Sofie are dedicated to creating your best experience, and they have achieved 100% success. Anyone who stays with them, feels like family. I have never been so well cared for in a vacation stay.

There was nothing to not like, except that I didn't plan to stay longer.

Sophie & Philip were exceptional hosts, we were made to feel comfortable and welcome and they checked in with us regularily. They were very knowledgable of the area, the history, ancient sites and things to do in all weathers.

This was a fantastic place to stay. Philip and Sophie were excellent hosts and provided good information on all the best places to visit in the area and great places to go walking/eat etc. Our room was very clean and comfortable with additional extras (microwave, fridge etc) and the room itself had beautiful views of Bere Island. The breakfast that was included was a continental buffet style with a wide selection of fruit, cereals, breads, cold meats and cheeses. Added to this, there was also some of Philip's home baking available with tea/coffee at any time. A very comfortable lounge area was also made available to guests throughout their stay - home from home. Would definitely go back if we return to Castletownbere.

Really couldn't fault anything although the ensuite shower was small - not an issue for us but for someone larger or with mobility issues, it might be something to consider.

Hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Microwave fridge kettle television in room. Cake and tea or coffee available throughout the day. Great variety for breakfast. Very central for ring of beara and other tourist spots. Fantastic value. Very relaxed. Brilliant and very highly recommended
