Rodeen

The hosts are extremely helpful and accommodating. We had many great discussions and they provided lots of information and tips on travelling in the local area. Continental breakfasts were wonderful with a large selection of cereals, cheeses, meats, fruit, baked goods and fresh squeezed orange juice. The gardens are absolutely lovely and the location is quiet but not far from town. Our room had a nice view across the garden and out to Beara Island.

The bathroom in our room was exceptionally tiny, but that was a source of some amusement, and not at all a problem.

Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Eine Wohlfühloase in einem wunderschönen großen Garten mit Blick aufs Meer. Phillip und Sophie haben uns sehr herzlich begrüßt und viele nützliche Informationen mit auf den Weg gegeben. Die von Philipp vorgeschlagenen Wanderrouten waren sehr abwechslungsreich und landschaftlich traumhaft. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und auch tagsüber hat man die Gelegenheit einen Kaffee oder Tee zu nehmen. Kleiner Tip: Phillip ist Autor und hat einige Bücher über Irland veröffentlicht. Am besten vorab über Amazon bestellen und von ihm signieren lassen. Wer Ruhe und die Natur liebt, kann hier seinen Irland-Traum leben.

Breakfast very good, especially the fresh fruit, also the unlimited tea and coffee. I really appreciated the fresh mint for my mint tea.Good location for getting into town. I had difficulty finding Rodeen the first time - another direction sign further along the little road up would be very helpful.

I had a very enjoyable stay at Rodeen House. Phillippe and Sophie were great hosts, showing a genuine interest in my daily activities. The room was perfect for me with a lovely view of the harbour. The property is just outside the town in a very attractive location. The gardens are nice and relaxing for sitting out or having a short stroll. I enjoyed the breakfast too....honey from the local hive was good indeed. And the afternoon homemade cake was a lovely touch. Highly recommended!!

Sehr schöne Lage, gepflegtes Haus mit schönem Garten, Außensitzplätze und sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Wir konnten etwas Essen zubereiten und idyllisch im Freien Essen.

Ein außergewöhnlich tolles B&B- mein absolutes Highlight: tolles Zimmer, super Frühstück, wunderschöner Blick aufs Meer und ganz liebe Besitzer.
