Darren was an excellent host, he helped us out a few times especially when we were leaving as our bus company had not organised any transport for us to get to the boat nor a boat to get back to Don Det. With him speaking Lao he organised it all for us & took us on his bike 1 by 1 to the boat ramp so that we could finally catch our bus to Siem Reap. Extremely helpful.

Perfect location overlooking the river with great sunsets. Very clean and well presented.

Comfortable room, good aircon. Close enough to everything but far enough from noise. Friendly owner.

There is a small garden with some hammocks but not enough shade. Some other hotels/guest houses offer better relaxing and reading possibilities with direct view on the Mekong. Not enough privacy when inside the room. We had to close the curtains. No breakfast.

Large clean room, good wifi, mini fridge stocked with beer and soda, super friendly owner that can help you with tours and onward travel. Also a very comfortable bed (soft mattress)

No shower divider so bathroom floor gets all wet, but at least in this hotel’s case the bathroom is big enough it’s not so annoying because you can keep water away from sink area.

Absolutely amazing place on Don Det. I guess one of the best accomodations on the island. Big and clean room. Comfortable beds. Very friendly en helpful owner. Absolutly worth spending a few more dollars per night. Also amazing sunset views.

Great quality accomodation with an amazing host who went out of his way to look after us.

One of the only places in Asia that we went to that had a well stocked mini bar in the room!

The rooms are neat and clean, and the facilities are well-designed for comfort (i.e. doors are equipped with sealing strips to avoid any insects from flying in). Darren is also especially helpful, giving a brief on what activities to do and booking our tours and vans.
