Whakaipo Bay Cabin Retreat Taupo

The communication from the owner was very welcoming. The view from the cabin was incredible. There were so many nice touches in the cabin ( bottle of prosecco in the fridge, some chocolates, robes and slippers). One of the nicest places we have ever stayed.

The bath is so big it takes a while to fill up. A good problem to have I suppose?

Serenity, peace and quiet in luxury surroundings. High quality furnishings, decor, and facilities. We loved the indoor and outdoor baths! Beautiful scenery and view. A very romantic location for a wedding anniversary. We also love the pot belly fire.

The beautiful views, I wish I had taken my yoga mat to do some meditation or yoga on the deck each day. The bath overlooking the stunning views was to die for. The cosy fireplace. The calm and tranquil atmosphere was very refreshing. The lovely comfy bed. I forgot to pack my toothbrush and arrived late so the owner kindly gave me a spare one of theirs which I really appreciated. I also loved the fact that there was no tv I enjoyed listening to music and chilling instead.

The only thing I had to get my head around was the long drop toilet. It took some getting used to not flushing the toilet.
