Location was amazing, different view From each window.

Wee bit hard to find correct driveway(but that could have been Google maps fault...?!!)

My stay was perfect. The room was beautiful, the view was stunning, and every detail had been carefully thought out. Everything was spotless and well stocked, from the candles and champagne to the bathtub amenities, plush bedding and quality soaps. The heated towel racks were a lovely extra touch. The hosts were responsive and made sure everything was seamless. I can’t wait to come back.

The beautiful, relaxing environment in which this lovely, spacious, stand alone accommodation was set in. There was a well equipped kitchen with everything you could need, the living area was peaceful, simply looking out to the open scenery. And the bathroom was stylish and huge. Such a lovely holiday.

Location was terrific

This was our 3rd stay at Whakaipo Bay Cabin. The location is beautiful and is brilliant for mountain biking while still close enough to Taupo. Megan is an outstanding host. Absolutely recommend, and we will definitely be back.

Nothing to not like.

Great views right from your porch, and even your bed! Very clean and great host! Very nice cabin with great central location for the area! Highly recommended!!

Fireplace a little smaller than expected.

beautiful tastefully appointed cabin. Clean, comfortable and with thoughtful touches.cabin was quite, with an amazing view. Its a luxurious place,suitable for all seasons, guaranteed to provide a refresh and rejuvenation.

Wow - what an awesome 3-night stay we had. The location - private, quiet, secluded - is perfectly situated on a hilltop - with a million dollar unobstructed view of the mountain range and creator lake below - was hard to leave. And even though the location is secluded, it's a quick drive down to town for shopping or enjoying the many restaurants. The 'box' home is configured perfectly with good sized entry area/kitchen, huge bedroom/living room and huge bathroom - all with floor to ceiling windows looking out at the beautiful view. Megan (the owner) has thought of everything for a welcoming and romantic stay. Champagne, chocolates, water bottles, ice cubes (for cocktails of course), several different kinds of coffee, 'bone china' dishes, silk robes, huge (and extremely comfortable) bed, black-out shades, wonderful stone soaking tub, huge walk-in shower, outlets everywhere for charging your electronics, stereo, huge deck with picnic table and bean bags to sit in to catch some rays, look at the view and have cocktails. And in the morning.........no better place to have your coffee than in bed - which looks out at the view. Cleanliness - we've never encountered such a clean place in all our stays around the world. There was not a single detail left untouched. And if we had a question, Megan was quick to respond, provide assistance or provide guidance/suggestions. Bottom line - we highly recommend staying here as our visit was the most amazing and comfortable experience ever, one that we'd go back again for, however we'd want to stay a bit longer for sure.
