Cosy Country Cottage on a Sunny Hill

We loved the rural setting and the stunning view from the deck The batch was well set out and very comfortable All cooking needs were met with the kitchen being well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. A great place for two couples to have a relaxing break

Unfortunately the view was obstructed by a double poled power pole on the property. There were also two power pylons within 100mtrs of the property The Information sheet was mostly rules filled with sentences using the words "No" and "Don't" which was slightly off-putting. The rules made sense but were portrayed like a headmaster addressing the class

What an outstanding place to stay a few nights. Spacious, modern, with a beautiful modern touch. The pictures sure don’t lie. Stunningly no sunsets and if you are standing on that front porch with your coffee you almost have that feeling you are in the hobbit’s Shire. Very short drive to New Plymouth and Taranaki Maunga.

The location was convenient to town and the hosts were very attentive to all our needs. The place was immaculately clean.

We didn't realize the water had to be boiled before drinking which was difficult with two young kids. It would have been great to have a washing machine and/or clothes airer and the fire was lovely, but for instant warmth it would be great to have a heat pump!

The location was beautiful. The property was easy to find. Good amenities especially for cooking for a group. Nice to have a bath. Good to have care for the environment with waste being separated. Great for a family weekend.

The only thing I would mention is that there were a large number of labels on things which made it feel slightly less like a hotel/ luxurious and more like a family batch.

Beautiful views, cosy and warm, comfortable beds, very clean, easy access and great communication from owners.
