This was an ideal location for places we like to visit in Suffolk.

Beautiful room

Clean, spacious,comfortable room with access to pretty garden. Peaceful stay Very welcoming staff at the pub

Bedding was clean crisp and lovely, pillows I usually struggle with, but loved them. Great location for what we wanted. Super to have small garden, we sat out there. Peaceful location. Easy to get key an's justd get in.

I wanted a big main course salad, with baby leaves, Avocado etc and green stuff, a light dressing, with chicken and a jacket potato. Nothing like that in menu But that's just what I like to eat.

Great location, chalet had everything you need and food was amazing

Great communication from Barbara before arrival. Key code and location sent through well in advance, reassured of a ground floor room to make garden access easier for our elderly dog. Owner came to check that we’d got into the room ok and that all was ok. (At that time my dog had hurt himself so we only managed a very quick chat) The room was ideal for our needs and really did exceed our expectations. Ample space, inside and out. Hot shower, spacious bathroom, warm, comfortable bed with quality bedding, cooking facilities, fridge, seating, We really didn’t need anything else inside the room. We enjoyed a lovely meal and wine the day after, which the chef brought over to us within our room. The food was really good too. We will definitely stay again, and have already recommended it to family.

Decking height is quite high

We stayed in a loft room and it was spacious, pleasantly decorated, clean and comfortable. It was a bit chilly outside so we appreciated hot water and good heating. Nice sunset views from the window. The pub next door was deservedly popular, and not noisy or rowdy at all, but instead it was friendly with nice food. The staff did their very best to help with the main problem we had. I am sure they would have moved us into one of the other 2 apartments if they could have done, but they were already booked.

We had booked a Garden Room, but despite the name, there was no garden access from our loft apartment. It was also reached by a steep outside staircase. The listing only mentions these things in the "Hosted By..." section- and not in the main property description. Additionally, the listing's photos were obviously taken before the loft apartment was done, so doesn't show any outside staircase.. So we did not realise exactly what we were booking. Additionally, during our stay, the freezing-compartment of the under-counter fridge was defrosting, and our food was melting. When I reported this to Barbara's phone number I got no response. We were busy and when it finally occurred to me to ask the on-site staff about it, the food was spoiled. I had already reported a cracked cafetiere to Barbara and though she didn't respond that time either, a new cafetiere was left for us.. As I thought the staff and owners did try to do a good job, I have decided not to give a low rating, but I can't give a great rating either.
