"This place is a gem!"

We booked Gaia, a spacious apartment with a bedroom in a dome. What a great experience to watch the stars in the evening and waking up with amazing views on the mountains from your bed. The attention to detail is impeccable. Everything you need can be found in the apartment, or the herb garden if you decide to cook meals yourself. We enjoyed the silence, the hiking paths and the kolkol. Before and after our stay we explored the region … and fell in love with Barrydale Montagu and their surroundings.

Did not have breakfast there. Nice and quiet. Indoor fireplace nice and want during the cold nights. A big bonus.

Wife was dissapointed that she could not blowdry hair.

Absolutely amazing place. We stated in the Gaia dome which was beautifully appointed. Best place we’ve ever stayed in South Africa. The marked trails are easy to follow to the pools and waterfall. The team are very friendly and helpful.

"Traumhafter Dome in absoluter Abgeschiedenheit mit liebevollen Details"

Die Lage ist traumhaft abgelegen und absolut ruhig – genau das, was wir gesucht haben. Der Dome Gaia ist wunderschön gestaltet, mit einer spektakulären Aussicht und einem unglaublichen Sternenhimmel bei Nacht. Wir konnten uns kaum sattsehen. Die Ausstattung ist fantastisch, wirklich alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Überall spürt man die Liebe zum Detail – sogar frische Blumen standen bereit, Kaffee, Tee, Marshmallows und vieles mehr. Der Service war hervorragend: Unsere Gasflasche war leer und wurde sofort ausgetauscht. Der KolKol war ein echtes Highlight, selbst bei warmem Wetter, und der kleine Pool sorgt für zusätzliche Erfrischung. Die Tiere vor Ort (Hühner, Katzen, freundliche Hunde) waren sehr süß und haben zur Atmosphäre beigetragen. Die Architektur des Domes ist wunderschön, und das Licht im Innenraum war warm, freundlich und einladend. Die Wegbeschreibung war extrem klar und ausführlich, sodass alles sofort zu finden war. Außerdem gibt es kleine Wandermöglichkeiten direkt auf dem Gelände. Diese Unterkunft ist ein absolutes Muss und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
